Position Overview:
Lead Software Development Engineer in Test (Performance focus) will join a team of skilled engineers within quality engineering group to assess, test, monitor, support and improve performance throughout Alteryx services and products.

Responsibilities:
- Contribute to a Cloud Platform Performance Testing Strategy and support its implementation.
- Create, maintain, standardize and enhance performance testing frameworks and tooling.
- Support domain and project teams in using performance tooling.
- Scale, Spike and Limit Test Cloud Platform.
- Monitor and report performance KPIs, Benchmarking and Trend Analysis for Cloud Platform
We are looking for highly technical and passionate leader in the fields of programming and performance. A hands-on engineer who is happy to maintain and improve open source software, while also evangelising its use to the rest of the org and leading a team of talented performance engineers. Highly self-motivated and with tons of initiative, we want someone who will bring new ideas and ways of working to the company and have the drive to improve on the excellent foundations and tooling currently in place.
Required Skills:
Extensive experience creating test or performance frameworks in Python.
Extensive experience with a code-based load testing tool, such as Locust. Extensive experience working with Cloud Environments and Kubernetes. Experience planning, writing and executing performance investigations and reporting the results to a wider audience.
Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate successfully with both local and remote team members.
Experience training colleagues in performance testing.
Experience with GitLab, GitHub or Jenkins pipelines and runners.
Experience with Observability and APM tooling, e.g. Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana or similar tooling.
