This position is located in our brand-new Oakland City Center location, or remotely (within the state of California). We are flexible provided you are open to traveling to the Oakland office locations as needed.

About Your Work
The Revenue Integrity Analyst is part of the Altais Revenue Management team and provides coding and billing support for Altais’s medical groups. The Revenue Integrity Analyst is accountable for CPT, ICD-10, HCPC coding and for certain charge entry activities.

You Will Focus On

  • Accountable for reviewing and assigning accurate CPT, ICD-10 and HCPC codes for outpatient and inpatient professional fees for Primary Care and Medical and Surgical Specialties
  • Must abide by the standards of Ethical Coding and adhere to all official coding guidelines
  • Acts as primary coding resource for medical groups including abstraction of complex surgical reports
  • Accurately enters demographic and insurance information into the electronic medical record (Epic) including the posting of charges from hospital rounding cards, charge tickets, surgical operative reports
  • Responsible for researching and providing accurate coding for rejected claims and works charge edit queues daily
  • Provides coding and documentation feedback and training to clinicians on a regular basis
  • Provides training to front desk staff as needed to reduce billing delays and denials
  • Attends internal coding review team meetings for continued learning and knowledge advancement
  • Maintains 95% accuracy rate or better based on periodic review of coding performed
  • Utilizes superior customer service to clearly communicate documentation and billing deficiencies, using knowledge of both government and non-government coding trends and reimbursement rules
  • May support special projects related to reimbursement analysis, new service line development and electronic medical record implementation

The Skills and Experience You Bring

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 4+ years of professional billing experience required.
  • Experience providing training and education to staff and clinicians using excellent verbal and written communication skills, effective technical skills, have positive demeanor and exhibit professionalism in approach.

The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates that meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this job description. Additional pay may be determined for those candidates that exceed these specified qualifications and requirements.
