Job description:

We are actively looking to hire a Security Access Administrator to join our Security Product and Access Management team!

Accountabilities:

1. Identity and Access Management

  • Administers user accounts and ensures proper computer and network access for systems of moderate scope and complexity; assigns passwords and user IDs to new users and monitors system usage to confirm that employees have the proper level of information access and resolve or escalate access issues.
  • Administers onboarding, offboarding and transfer identity lifecycle events through IAM solutions.
  • Administers user access reverification campaigns with assistance of IAM SMEs.
  • Reviews security controls and recommends improvements that eliminate risks.
  • Conducts information systems audits to ensure system information is secure from breach and unauthorized access and maintains documentation for future audits.

  • Create and maintain IAM related reports and dashboards.

2. Incident Management

  • Investigates improper uses, reports violations, and resolves or escalates potential security incidents.
  • Assesses and resolves user access issues to prevent and mitigate security breaches that may arise and minimize risk exposure and business impact.

3. Practice Maturation

  • Plans and conducts user training to provide overviews of systems security and access.
  • Remains abreast of the latest testing and hacking methods and systems security trends, best practices, technologies, and tools to suggest security improvements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/ Computer Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Requires 2-5 years of related experience in Security Access Administration.
  • Installing and configuring software on Windows and Unix platforms.
  • Administration/Support via directory services, access governance, and privileged access management tools.
  • Administration/Support via Windows , Unix, database (SQL & Oracle), scripting (PowerShell) and administration tools.
  • IT governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) principles, standards, and best practices (e.g. risk management, governance, information security controls, etc.).
  • Incident response processes to investigate and respond to security incidents and improper uses.
  • Cross-functional applications and interdependencies for a variety of technical platforms and solutions. (MS Power Automate and MS Power BI)
  • Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodology and principles.
  • End-to-End project coordination and collaboration.
  • Code versioning tools (e.g. GIT).
  • Data visualization tools to prepare flow charts, models, and other documentation used in leadership decision-making (e.g. Visio).
  • System usage monitoring tools.
  • Trouble ticketing tools.
  • Interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Project coordination, organizational, prioritization, and time management skills with attention to detail.

Bonus qualification:

  • Certified Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), CISA, CRISC or related certification would be an asset.
