Job Description
Responsible for investigating and confirming the facts of loss for the most complex Homeowner's Claims. Determines coverage, damages and otherwise adjusts and negotiates claims within limit of authority. Responsible for creating a comprehensive estimate of damages for the most complex first party homeowner claims leading to the proper disposition. This role is utilized as peer mentor and may assign direction to more junior employees, having mastered our processes and obtained technical expertise.

We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Property Field Adjuster to join our amazing team in the Southern Chicago, IL area. The ideal candidate will have strong conflict management skills and proficiency in Xactimate. In this role, you will handle moderate residential and some condo claims through both on-site field inspections and virtual assessments from home. Key Responsibilities
Exhibits mastery estimating fundamentals in order to create estimates of damages on the most complex 1st party homeowner losses of all severities
Builds mastered relationships with both internal and external customers
Interprets regulatory compliance and fair claims practices
Negotiates settlements, makes settlement payments and documents all activities in the most complex of files
Applies mastered content in interpretations of all policy types written by the company and assists leadership in formal and ad hoc training
Recommends process improvements
Territory
Hybrid territory. This is a WFH position which will have a field territory centered in southern Chicago. This adjuster will also be responsible for assisting in desk handled claims from across the country as needed.
Education
4 year Bachelors Degree (Preferred)
Experience
3 or more years of experience (Preferred)
Proficiency in Xactimate or related estimating system.
Proficiency in written communications.
Previous construction experience (Preferred)
Supervisory Responsibilities
This job does not have supervisory duties.
Education & Experience (in lieu)
In lieu of the above education requirements, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Compensation
Base compensation offered for this role is $76,000.00 - $90,000.00 Annually and is based on experience and qualifications.
*** Total compensation for this role is comprised of several factors, including the base compensation outlined above, plus incentive pay (i.e. commission, bonus, etc.) as applicable for the role
