Job Description
The Director of Digital Product Management will serve as a Player - Coach and lead the innovation around design and development of new product and service offerings and capabilities.

This leader will be responsible for business development, setting and delivering against growth goals for the portfolio and leading a team of product managers, for the digital product area. The Director creates and manages the strategic product vision, product discovery and roadmaps to maximize the customer and enterprise value provided by the product family.

This is a remote role with expectations of in-person connections on a weekly basis with occasional travel

Key Responsibilities

Monitors P&L budgets and operational effectiveness; develops strategies for adjusted courses of action. Excels in systems thinking and thought leadership for digital product management.

As the expert for the digital portfolio, partners with key stakeholders, internal and external client groups to influence and contribute on decisions and initiatives

Lead collaboration with Technology Partners to evaluate build, buy and/or partner decisions to advance product strategy and maximize Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Invest time with current and potential customers to understand their needs & habits and to elicit their feedback to potential product concepts and/or released product iterations

Develop and measure team success as defined by product KPIs (e.g., revenue, adoption, CSAT and/or retention targets) assigned to you and your team

Develop proposed solutions, alternatives and guidance in diverse, complex and potentially disruptive business situations through cooperation with other areas of responsibility (AORs) both within and outside of ADS

Drive and execute product strategy for the ADS digital product portfolio; develop and inform product strategy via the effective combination of customer engagement, detailed market analysis and business case development

Preferred Qualifications:

Understands the competitive landscape and consumer trends to influence customer journeys and digital product offerings across current and future enterprise needs

Owns culture and competency of the Digital Product Management practice, ensuring constant advancement of product management standards and talent in partnership with other Principal Digital Product Managers

Owns digital product strategy and roadmap for AOR and associates tightly with consumer journeys ensuring alignment in partnership with Principal Engineers and Principal Platform Consultants

Owns final decision rights to overarching digital product approach balancing consumer journey, strategic demands, and enterprise priorities

Expert in facilitating discovery & framing sessions across consumer journeys and strong influencer of the trade, advocating for system and Design thinking across the enterprise. Owns over-arching intended outcome and ensures that individual product KPIs converge towards the ultimate intent across AORs

Tirelessly advocates for simplification within and across consumer journeys. Drives delivery acceleration through reuse of capabilities and smarter, simpler ways to achieve outcomes on a consistent basis. Evangelizes product capabilities and seeks additional use cases for broader applicability across AORs and new business ventures

Works to identify common capability overlap and works to define strategy across AORs in partnership with Principal Platform Consultants and Principal Product Managers to ensure reuse over duplication

Represents AOR needs and strategy in larger enterprise strategy discussions, advocating for what's needed to provide optimal journeys across AORs

Connects emerging tech and market trends to influence business strategy and achieve value

Influences, informs and ultimately aligns to target state platform strategy to deliver digital products that achieve business outcomes

Fosters and evangelizes Product Management community to recruit, attract, and develop world class talent

Creates career opportunities and ensures mobility for key top talent. Creates and executes a strong succession plan for Lead Digital Product Managers

Drives alignment on strategic intent and related priorities across teams and AORs. Influences digital product strategy & backlogs across AORs in support of strategic priorities

Cultivates strategic mindset within AOR Digital Product Managers, empowering product teams to independently make decisions through a strategic lens

Education

4 year Bachelors Degree (Preferred)

Experience

12 or more years of experience (Preferred)

Supervisory Responsibilities

This job has supervisory duties.
