Our team is growing and we are actively looking to hire Director, Business Development.As a senior member of the Allstate Management team, reporting to the Vice President, Distribution, the Director, Business Development supports the achievement of strategic plans and directions, by being accountable for all aspects of the Allstate Brand business development and product distribution in their designated geographic territory. This includes developing, implementing and maintaining a 1 - 2 year territorial business plan.Role Designation: HybridBenefits to joining AllstateComplete Group Benefits Program customizable to your needsComprehensive Health and Wellness resourcesStrong Brand Recognition Working within the community and giving back!Opportunity for ongoing learning and career development.We work a 37.5 hour work weekAccountabilities:Identifying business development opportunities by continually assessing the local market and competition to identify strengths, weaknesses, threats and business development opportunities, and developing and implementing appropriate action plans;Selecting, developing and managing a capable management team;Ensuring the development and maintenance of appropriate practices, selling techniques, and continuous development initiatives to provide stability, growth and competitive advantage;Establishing and enhancing ACG and Allstate Brand's profile in the industry and in the community by participating in business and community events;Providing advice on design, pricing and promotion of new and revised products, possible opportunities for severity control and customer service improvements, and competitive positioning of existing products and rates;Ensuring the delivery of optimal territorial results within appropriate performance metrics including quality, quantity, timeliness, productivity, customer satisfaction and financial performance;Ensuring the development and maintenance of Brand policies and practices, selling techniques, and continuous development initiatives to provide stability, growth and competitive advantage. Qualifications:Post secondary education in a relevant field combined with 5 years of demonstrated management experience, preferably in the insurance industryDemonstrated leadership skills to develop, coach and manage a team of direct and indirect reportsProven ability to enhance performance and engagement across teamsAdvanced knowledge of insurance regulations, product, price and underwriting rulesAbility to think strategically, identify, analyze and provide business-case solutions to complex problemsDemonstrated financial and business acumenStrong influencing and collaboration skills with the ability to embrace and lead change initiativesExcellent verbal and written communication skillsCIP would be an asset Allstate Canada Group has policies and practices that provide workplace accommodations.
