Job Description
The Digital Product Manager is responsible for defining, delivering, and managing the lifecycle of one or more products in Allstate's growing product portfolio. The Reinsurance Digital Product Manager manages product vision, product discovery, roadmaps, and backlog to maximize enterprise value. Successful Product Managers help to identify assumptions and validate those assumptions using product discovery techniques. The Digital Product Manager is responsible for working closely with key stakeholders and partners, ensuring the successful definition and execution of go-to market and communications strategies for their products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create, drive, and execute future product strategy for Allstate's Specialty Operations Division, specifically Voluntary and Ceded Reinsurance, Catastrophes, and Involuntary Program Management
  • Drive product roadmap by investing significant time with current and potential customers to understand their needs
  • Engage in discovery & framing and test & learn activities to quickly validate assumptions and product direction
  • Decompose complex problems into smaller manageable tasks by creating and prioritizing a backlog for the Product Team
  • Manage the product backlog, create an effective vision and provide timely stakeholder feedback on development iterations
  • Define and manage metrics to measure the success of your efforts and to inform the overall product strategy

Job Qualifications

  • 7+ years of technical and/or digital product management experience preferred
  • Sound experience with and understanding of Claims and/or Reinsurance processes, procedures, and technology preferred
  • Understanding of and experience working with agile tools for managing EPICs, stories, and outcomes in a technology development environment
  • Entrepreneurial with a strong inclination towards action, preferably with experience in application and platform modernization
  • Clear passion for topics of technology products and an ability to identify possibilities to innovate in our product space
  • Experience operating in an environment driven by KPIs and outcomes where you had the accountability to determine the best course of action to meet your goals
  • Proficient at breaking down work for iterative and incremental delivery
  • Advanced ability to communicate complex and innovative concepts to product development teams and stakeholders with proven experience in data-driven decision making
  • Expert at stakeholder management and transparent communication
  • Ability to be self-directed and to proactively anticipate problems and seek opportunities

Compensation
Compensation offered for this role is $112,000.00 - 196,750.00 annually and is based on experience and qualifications.
The candidate(s) offered this position will be required to submit to a background investigation.
