Job Description
The Data Center Product Engineer plays a crucial role in maintaining reliability and efficiency of our data centers. The engineer will be responsible for hardware installation/decommission, move/add/change, and repair of servers and network connected devices. You will be working with our Network Operations Center and various product engineering teams to innovate new solutions and troubleshoot technical issues, while adhering to industry best practices. This is an onsite role for our Hudson, Ohio office.

Responsibilities:
- Deploy, configure, and maintain enterprise-grade servers, storage systems, and network hardware.
- Act as the company's eyes and hands to diagnose and resolve hardware and cabling issues issues in coordination with the Network Operations Center.
- Work within ticketing software to execute tasks, report hardware issues, and document progress.
- Communicate shift turnover with coworkers both verbally and writing to ensure continuity through the install and repair process.
- Use cable diagnostic equipment to test, identify, and correct issues with fiber optic and copper network cables.
- Provide vendor escorts and supervision for repairs, installations, move/add/change.
- Continuously monitor data center infrastructure with walkthroughs and utilizing software tools available.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of standard operating procedures and inventory records.
- Implement and uphold industry-standard best practices for data center operation including physical security measures and environmental controls.
- Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams to support large-scale systems upgrades, migrations, and deployments.
- Assist in capacity planning and scalability assessments to meet evolving business requirements.
- Ensure 24/7 support by arranging shift coverage with teammates for PTO and Holidays.
- Promptly respond to hotline phone while onsite for any support calls and emergency incidents.
- This position requires significant time standing, walking, bending, and lifting.

Work Hours:
2nd shift Monday - Thursday 4:00PM - 2:00AM (10 hour shifts) 10% 2nd shift differential.
Flexibility will be needed on occasion to cover other shifts when team members are out of the office, weekends and holidays.

Compensation
Compensation offered for this role is $52,260.00 - 92,790.00 annually and is based on experience and qualifications.
