Job Description
The Critical Facilities Engineer is part of the Facility Operations team responsible for performing preventative and ongoing maintenance for mechanical, electrical, plumbing and other infrastructure
systems in mission-critical, high-risk or high-reliability environments (data centers, medical facilities, laboratories or utilities infrastructure) to ensure operational efficiency and maximum facility uptime.

Key Responsibilities
Acts as a consistent individual contributor and team member, providing influence, knowledge sharing, training, mentoring and direction to other staff engineers and peers
Applies expertise and knowledge to the development of concepts, techniques and process improvements
Identifies and assists with resolving potential issues and assists others to ensure data center uptime and project success
Assists with reviews of major design modifications/upgrades in accordance with applicable codes including compliance and safety
Assists with creating and reviewing all mission critical MOPs (Method of Procedures) and SOPs
(Standard Operating Procedures) for accuracy, safety and assessing the potential for business impact
Collaborate with partner data center at all times
Education
High School Diploma or GED (Preferred)
Experience
2-5 years experience

Applicable electrical and mechanical certifications
Functional Skills
Knowledge and design of critical functions: - Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC (Heating, Venting, Air Conditioning - CRACs (Computer Room Air Conditioning), UPS (Uninterruptible Power Systems), ATS (Automatic Transfer Switches)
Assist with change management process Information Technology, Infrastructure Library and Service Now Change Process
Knowledge of data center infrastructure or other mission critical, high-risk or high reliability environments.
Problem-solving skills
Familiarity interpreting blueprints/CAD drawings, ability to read and utilize electrical and mechanical schematics
Strong communication skills and familiarity with email and MS Office applications
Generators - Cooling towers
Awareness of safety and risk management
Physical requirements
Regularly required to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch and lift up to 50 pounds
Computer skills
The ability to operate computers and related equipment. The ability to use software applications, the internet. The ability to trouble shoot and solve problems
Location and Work hours
Position is located in Rochelle, IL on site
Work 8 consecutive days from Wednesday-Wednesday 3:00pm-1:30am
* Off work for 6 consecutive days from Thursday - Tuesday

Compensation
Compensation offered for this role is $24.71 - 41.47 per hour and is based on experience and qualifications.
