Job Description
The Catastrophe Inside Adjuster Consultant is responsible for handling insurance claims and supporting customers across the country following catastrophic events. Working under limited supervision, the role involves managing claim tasks, answering customer inquiries, and determining claim coverage for various types of losses, including those involving automobiles, motorcycles, recreational vehicles, all-terrain vehicles, boats, and flood damage. This individual also plays a critical role in claim investigation, negotiation, and payment processing, ensuring customers' needs are met during challenging times.

This position follows a 10-days-on, 4-days-off schedule, with 12-hour shifts on weekdays. Occasional travel may be required, estimated at 10-30%.
Key Responsibilities
Claim Investigation and Coverage Determination:
- Manage a diverse range of claims by investigating and determining loss coverage based on policy terms.
- Handle inquiries related to covered losses, ensuring accuracy and empathy in customer interactions.
Customer Support:
- Address customer needs by assessing rental requirements and, if applicable, arranging rental reservations.
- Answer inbound calls and manage inquiries, providing timely updates and support to customers during the claims process.
Claims Processing:
- Complete tasks with moderate complexity, including updating claim records, establishing liability, and overseeing subrogation processes.
- Review auto repair estimates for validity and adherence to covered losses.
Payment Processing:
- Authorize and process claim payments in alignment with policy coverage, ensuring customer satisfaction and procedural accuracy.
Documentation and Follow-Up:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of claim assessments and decisions.
- Follow up on pending claims and address outstanding tasks, contributing to efficient claims resolution.
Skills
- Claims Handling Experience: Experience in handling claims, ideally with a background in managing cases during catastrophic events.
- Insurance Policy Knowledge: Familiarity with insurance coverage, specifically within automotive and property loss contexts.
- Communication Skills: Proficiency in handling customer inquiries with empathy and professionalism.
- Problem-Solving Abilities: Skill in resolving moderately complex claims, analyzing situations, and adapting to different case requirements.
- Attention to Detail: Precision in documentation and assessment review, ensuring accurate claim processing and payment.

4 year Bachelors Degree (Preferred)
Experience
2 or more years of experience (Preferred)

Compensation
Compensation offered for this role is $47,440.00 - 81,902.50 annually and is based on experience and qualifications.
