Job Description
The Enterprise P&C Actuary Senior Consultant II job is responsible for executing and/or managing projects in support of pricing/reserving insurance business utilizing accepted actuarial and statistical standards, as well as methodologies and knowledge gained through on the job training. This role works closely with analytics management and key business partners to develop and execute appropriate pricing, modeling and product strategies of moderate complexity to support business goals.

Reporting to the Manager, Quebec Pricing, you will be accountable for the following:Accountabilities:Continuously assess rating plans to identify gaps and propose changes to improve pricing sophistication.Participate in the development of the strategy and the production of complex actuarial analyses with the aim of ensuring profitable growth of the business.Ensure regulatory requirements are met.Review the work of actuarial analysts and participate in their training.Communicate complex analysis results to colleagues and business partners.Use data and creative methods to improve business results.Qualifications and Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Actuarial Science or relevant discipline. Minimum 5 Actuarial Exams, ACAS/FCAS preferred. Minimum 5 years P&C Actuarial Experience (preferably some Pricing). Fluency in English and French (there is a need to interact regularly with colleagues across the country). Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and programming languages (SAS, VBA, R). Strong knowledge of CIA Standards of Practice and regulatory requirements. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to explain complex technical concepts in a simple manner to a non-technical audience.
