The Sr Cons I I assists in the development and implementation of communication strategies and leads the development and implementation of communication plans that target one or more of the seven key Allstate stakeholders (employees, consumers, customers, agency force, opinion leaders, policy makers and investors). They manage communication projects of moderate complexity for the department that help accelerate Allstate's competitive advantage through reputation, increase confidence in Allstate's business strategy and create a more purpose-driven culture.

Key Responsibilities

• Data-driven Planning: With guidance, use stakeholder data insights to inform communication plans and tactics; provide recommendations for enhancements; analyze feedback, metrics, and insights, and adapt communication and project plans and tactics accordingly.

• Strategic Communication Counsel for Business Areas and Leaders (as required by specific role): Support communication associate managers, managers, and senior managers in providing communication counsel to business leaders. Partner, as appropriate, with enterprise communication teams to guide and influence communication plans. Use interpersonal influence to build relationships and support communication plans.

• Communication Planning and Execution: Create, implement, and measure communication plans reaching one or more of the seven key Allstate stakeholders. Understands stakeholder needs, industry and Allstate standards and incorporate these appropriately into communication plans.

• Project Management: Work as part of a team in the execution of more complex communication plans and projects, including assisting in project and program coordination and execution. Work collaboratively and integrates with team members including across other teams or business areas. Meet deadlines and adjust to shifting priorities.

• Content Creation and External Media Relations: With a mindset of curiosity, finds story ideas and create content to help raise awareness with key stakeholders of Allstate as an innovative, customer-centric, and caring company. As role requires, work with the PR/media team to develop and pitch content, and secure placement in traditional and social media channels (owned, earned and paid), and on internal communication platforms, as appropriate.

Education

• 4 year Bachelors Degree (Preferred)

Experience

• 3 or more years of experience (Preferred)

Supervisory Responsibilities

• This job does not have supervisory duties.

Education & Experience (in lieu)

• In lieu of the above education requirements, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Compensation
Compensation offered for this role is $56,500.00 - 99,962.50 annually and is based on experience and qualifications.
The candidate(s) offered this position will be required to submit to a background investigation.
