Where we need help?
Bring your voice to the Allbirds Creative Studio. The Allbirds Creative Studio is a multidisciplinary group of talented creatives that obsess over bringing the Allbirds brand to life. We’re looking for a talented copywriter who can help to evolve our brand voice, and develop copy for a variety of needs across channels. This person will also partner with channel leads and Art Directors to shape channel specific content strategies. This person should be able to write copy that’s fun and witty, but also make complicated subjects like sustainability feel simple and approachable.
What does the job entail?
- Creating advertising concepts for key hero moments and product launches
- Responsible for developing our content strategy
- Develop, and implement our brand voice system
- Write compelling brand-right copy that's tailored to the needs of different marketing channels
- Partner with channel leads to develop content and messaging strategies
- Support the global and local teams in asset and content creation
- Supporting the Creative Director on the creation of concepts and executions
- Manage and mentor a team of writers, helping map out areas for career growth
- Partner closely with other disciplines within the Creative team (including Brand Design, Copy, Production, and Retail) as well as other key stakeholders throughout Allbirds to ensure cross-functional integration and strategic implementation of the Allbirds brand
- Set an example of creative excellence that inspires and guides a team of creatives to always reach for the highest brand standards
- Establish and reinforce consistent design systems across platforms
- Leading and participating in brainstorming sessions
- Directing the Design and development of creative materials
- Managing and supervising multiple projects and teams
- Ensuring resources are allocated appropriately to project needs
More practical skills needed:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Marketing, Writing, or a related field is required.
- 5-7 years of creative design work experience, with a proven track record of high-quality design and content creation
- Mastery of the process that takes the insights from a product, markets, and customers and pushes it from concept to execution - storyboard - location - casting - styling - photography, and film
- Proven ability to lead, motivate and inspire a diverse creative team of designers and writers, as well as develop designers from a technical perspective
- Strong, creative design sense for premium products, ideally in the fashion or lifestyle category
- Practical experience managing a global brand and collaborating with various stakeholders to balance global consistency with local relevancy
- Highly organized with good project management skills. Able to juggle multiple, and sometimes, conflicting priorities with limited oversight
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Can thrive in a fast-paced, highly dynamic environment
- Can work independently and is a stickler for details and deadlines
- Proficient with Google Suite and Figma.

Work Environment
Work takes place in an office setting. This job may require working more than 8 hours per day and/or 40 hours a week. It requires the ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods of time and communicate effectively with a diverse audience in person, by phone and by computer. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift, push, and carry up to 15 lbs
What do we offer?
In Office: The pay range for this role is: $142,000 - $150,000 and must be performed in our San Francisco, CA corporate office.
Allbirds routinely evaluates pay rates, and the ranges are subject to change based on market rates and other considerations. We factor in a number of components when determining starting pay, including the job and level you are hired into, location, skillset, experience and peer compensation.
