General
Allbirds is in the process of building a world class operational team to increase our ability to consistently surprise and delight our customers while making the most positive impact to our environment. As we continue to grow at an enormous pace, we need to ensure that we manage our supply chain efficiently from start to finish.
The Supply Chain team plays a critical role in ensuring this occurs. The team is divided into global and retail planning teams. The global planning team is responsible for managing supply and demand across all assortments and channels, and managing factory communication. The retail planning team is responsible for retail forecasting, store replenishments and inventory management. The team works closely with Global Planning, Retail Operations, Store Leaders, Logistics, Product Strategy and Creative to ensure retail inventory is optimized by geography, season and launch timing.
This role will primarily work within the retail planning org. For this role, we are looking for a highly analytical individual, who is comfortable dealing with large data sets to optimize and manage retail inventory decisions on a daily basis, to not only enhance our in-store customer experience but also drive the bottom line. Additionally, this individual should possess excellent project management and communication skills, and serve as a key liaison between the supply chain and retail teams, especially store leaders. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to be closer to the actual execution of merchandising strategy and the analytical side of consumer products planning.
What does the job entail?
- Work closely with the retail merchandising team, product planning, logistics, retail operations and store leaders to optimize individual store inventory based on local sales trends, future launches and store capacity.
- Allocate within Anaplan to execute launch plans for new products, seasonal floorsets, and promotional campaigns for our Full Price store fleet as well as Outlet.
- Partner with the product planning team to keep a pulse on incoming supply and future purchase order placement.
- Develop and maintain reports in Excel and Google docs to monitor store performance and inventory KPIs(i.e. in-stock levels, service levels, rate of sale, future on-order, etc).
- Make recommendations based on store performance and communicate assortment changes appropriately to key stakeholders across the retail team.
- Monitor store inventory levels and utilize Ship from Store levers to improve overstocks in stores.
- Manage overall store inventory levels based on store capacity, attributes, seasonality, size selling curves and channel balance needs.
- Support cross-functional teams by providing reports and ad hoc analysis.

More practical skills needed:
- BA/BS in business
- 2+ years Allocation, Planning or related experience required
- Strong proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets and experience building concise reports from large sets of data.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and GSuite
- Must be analytical, detailed oriented, and organized with excellent follow-up skills.
- Adept at comprehending and working with large quantities of data from a variety of sources
- Ability to rapidly learn and adapt to system and data changes.

What do we offer?
This is a hybrid role, requiring in-office attendance up to 2-3 times per week. The pay range for this role is: $74,000 to $83,000 and must be performed in our San Francisco, CA corporate office. Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
Allbirds routinely evaluates pay rates, and the ranges are subject to change based on market rates and other considerations. We factor in a number of components when determining starting pay, including the job and level you are hired into, location, skillset, experience and peer compensation.
