Our team supporting US Army Pacific in Honolulu, Hawaii is growing! We are building a team of professionals to deliver innovative solutions to our customer in a dynamic strategic environment. We are seeking an Information Systems Security Officer 4 to support our USARPAC customer.

A Huntington Ingalls Industries (HII) Information Systems Security Officer will:

• Develop and maintain RMF packages for multiple networks and cross-domain solutions.
• Identify points of vulnerability and recommend and implement mitigation strategies.
• Validate and verify system security requirements.
• Analyze system security designs.
• Design, develop, and implement security systems, controls, test plans, and components for networking, computing, and support environments.

• Assists in system planning, development, and deployment to ensure compliance with security standards and government directives.
• Provide technical guidance in Information Assurance concepts, principles, and standards including definition and use of IA-related metadata and threat and risk analysis.

Essential Job Responsibilities

• Designs and implements information assurance and security engineering systems with requirements of business continuity, operations security, cryptography, forensics, regulatory compliance, internal counter-espionage (insider threat detection and mitigation), physical security analysis (including facilities analysis, and security management).
• Assesses and mitigates system security threats and risks throughout the program life cycle.
• Validates system security requirements definition and analysis.
• Establishes system security designs.
• Implements security designs in hardware, software, data, and procedures.
• Verifies security requirements; performs system certification and accreditation planning and testing and liaison activities.
• Supports secure systems operations and maintenance.
• Applies extensive technical expertise and has full knowledge of other related disciplines.
• Supports other tasks as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• 9 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 7 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 4 years relevant experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 13 years relevant experience.
• COMPTIA Security+ certification or CISSP certification.
• Experience with multiple operating systems (e.g., UNIX, Linux, Windows, Cisco IOS).
• DOD RMF Experience.
• Experience developing C & A packages.
• Experience with Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS).

Clearance Requirement: Must have active TS/SCI clearance.

Preferred Requirements

• Bachelors in computer science, engineering or related technical discipline.
• Understanding of mission requirements and network services.
• Experience implementing of DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG), Assured Compliance Assessment.
• Solution (ACAS) scans, Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP) Compliance scans, the Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M), and the Risk Assessment Report (RAR).
