Position Summary:
Huntington Ingalls Industry (HII) Intelligence, Surviellence, and Reconnaissance group is seeking a Senior Task Manager to support contracts with the Department of Defense and the Intelligence Community. The Task Manager will be responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing the cost, schedule, and scope of all projects assigned. A successful Task Manager will have excellent communication, organization, and customer service skills. This position will require up to 10% of travel.
Duties Include:
- Process all administrative actions for coordination with multiple customers
- Define / Track actions items
- Assist in preparing multiple briefings for senior leadership
- Schedule and support meetings by creating an agenda as well as meeting outcomes and action items
- Prepare and file administrative papers, presentations, etc. in appropriate repositories
- Proactively maintain the leadership calendars, de-conflicting meetings, obtaining read-ahead materials, and tracking other senior leader calendars for relevance and synchronization
- Work with subcontracting and procurement to acquire data from multiple vendors. Track purchases/procurement actions through closure
- Provide other project and administrative support as needed
- High attention to detail and organization
- Ability to clearly communicate among all levels
- Excellent writing and editing skills with comprehensive knowledge of correct grammar, punctuation, spelling, and usage of the English language.
- Ability to meet strict deadlines and communicate project blockers.
- This is a highly dynamic and demanding role and tasking may be adjusted as needed.
- Ensures all activities are carried out in accordance with project commitments or specific objectives.
- Responsible for day-to-day coordination and administration of tasks by ensuring quality and productivity standards are maintained while meeting client schedules.
- Coordinates with other contract and subcontract personnel to ensure work moves smoothly from one functional area to another.
- Works with project manager and/or client to prepare work schedules and man-hour estimates.
- Provides written management or program plans, maintenance and operations instructions, task status analysis, cost reports, and other related documents.

Education/ Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree In Business, Technology or other fields.
- 5+ years' experience in management and government contracts.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the demonstrated ability to work with different levels of management internal and external to HII.
- Strong MS Office skills: Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.
- Ability to travel
- PMP certificaton highly desirable.
- US Citizehship and a current DOD clearance or the ability to obtain after hire.
