HII is looking for highly skilled and motivated Cyber Systems Engineers to be a part of a team supporting a Threat Based Cyber Security (TBCS) engineering task. There is momentum building in DoD and across government to adopt a more threat-centric approach to understanding how effective capabilities are and you will get to work directly in this information space helping shape the direction of cybersecurity in government for decades to come.

This is a high-visibility role that will have you working closely with our customer to ensure engineering solutions for DoD and IC networks are mutually supportive and address key gaps in warfighter capabilities.

What you will do
- Provide technical guidance in Information Assurance (IA) concepts, principles, and standards including definition and use of IA-related metadata and threat and risk analysis.
- Provide technical guidance on Enterprise systems engineering and architecture concepts and principles.
- Ensure engineering solutions for DoD and IC networks are mutually supportive and address key gaps in warfighter capabilities.
- Provide subject matter expertise to various Enterprise IA Architecture community working groups, committees, and governance bodies.
- Support efforts to further DoD's desire to establish a threat-based, cybersecurity architecture assessment methodology.
- Development of systems engineering documentation, systems requirements and functional requirements.
What we are looking for
- 9 years relevant experience with Bachelors in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, or Engineering Management.; 7 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 4 years relevant experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 13 years relevant experience.
- A minimum of 9 years' systems engineering experience.
- Experience in the following CS areas: 1. CS architecture, engineering, design, research or implementation.
- Experience with DoD, IC, and other federal government (e.g., NIST) policy, directives, and instructions relevant to CyberSecurity strategic planning and direction.
- Experience with CyberSecurity risk management and mitigation strategies.
- Experience in at least two (2) of the following areas:
- DoD Architecture Framework (DoDAF) version 2.02 modeling and DoDAF system engineering analysis or development;
- Cryptographic development and analysis;
- IA and cybersecurity architectures, concepts, principles, use cases, and standards; and
- DoD, IC, and other federal government (e.g., NIST) policy, directives, and instructions relevant to IA and cybersecurity strategic planning and direction.
- Clearance: Must possess and maintain an active TS/SCI with Polygraph
Preferred: Bonus Points For...
- A minimum of 14 years' systems engineering experience.
- Experience with Threat-Based Cyber Security methodology
- Comfortable with giving presentations and talking to Customers
- CISSP Certification
