Who We Are:
HII - Technical Solutions Division (TSD) is currently seeking a Sustainment Manager IV to work onsite in Edgewood, Maryland. The Sustainment Manager IV will analyze technical data and reports to determine spares and support equipment provisioning requirements. Reviews site survey results and letters of offer and acceptance and formulates specific recommendations for spare/repair parts and support equipment. Manages and controls the asset position of customer inventories. May originate support plans for offer to potential customers and provide technical assistance to existing customers. May forecast and manage budget system.
HII-TSD provides mission-critical engineering and technical service to Information Technology, Federal Civilian, and National Security, Aerospace & Defense and International government and commercial customers at over 100 locations worldwide.

What You Will Do:
- Serve as the sustainment lead for all operations and sustainment activities across the organization; researching, analyzing, and planning sustainment efforts for all systems transitioning to the life cycle management command, applying current guidance from Army, office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD), and Assistant Secretary of the Army (Acquisition, Logistics, and Technology) (ASA(ALT)).
- Provide and review CBRN commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) Doctrine, Organization, Training, Materiel, Leadership and Education, Personnel and Facilities (DOTMLPF) assessment details and sustainment metrics.
- Provide sustainment, integrated logistics support (ILS), and life cycle management (LCM) oversight for Continental United States and Outside Continental United States (CONUS and OCONUS) customers.
- Prepare and present sustainment briefings and conduct meetings with customers as required. Prepare Memorandums of Agreement (MOAs) and transition plans.
- Draft performance specifications for new contracts and ensure all contracts are in place and align with sustainment requirements.
- Monitor contract performance of sustainment activities throughout the organization.
- Evaluate the remaining contract ceilings and coverage available for specific sustainment contracts.
- In addition, the contractor shall provide regular updates on the status of contracts and recommend contract modifications when necessary.
- Respond to questions and problems pertaining to specific sustainment contracts and sustainment policy and regulation.
- The contractor shall conduct site visits with Life Cycle Management Commands (LCMCs) and Army leadership to discuss funding, business processes, and sustainment transition plans.
- Track equipment in Property Book Unit Supply Enhanced (PBUSE).
- Prepare reports and track in theater personnel against the Assistant Secretary of the Army for Acquisition, Logistics and Technology (ASA(ALT)) required draw down plan.
- Update the status of all retrograde activities of in theater equipment.
- Monitor, manage, and coordinate implementation of the Logistics Modernization Program (LMP) at the subordinate organization level.
- Track, document, and report taskers, suspenses, and other information requests for distribution to the appropriate point(s) of contact.
- Travel is required 25% of the time
What We're Looking For:
- 10 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 8 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 14 years relevant experience.
- Experience with drafting Performance Specifications for new contracts for CBRN equipment sustainment.
- Senior experience with equipment transfers and Property Book Officer (PBO) Actions.
- Clearance: Candidate must possess and be able to maintain a government security clearance at the Secret level.
- A new Federal Executive Order requires that employees of Federal contractors be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 by December 8, 2021. Accordingly, as a condition of employment with Technical Solutions, a division of Huntington Ingalls Industries, employees will be required to provide proof of full vaccination against COVID-19 or have an approved exemption prior to starting employment.
Bonus Points If You Have:
- 10 years experience supporting Logistics Activities
- Experience with supporting Integrated Logistics Support and Life Cycle Management for Continental United States and outside the Continental United States (CONUS and OCONUS) customers with Systems transitioned or transitioning to sustainment.
Physical Requirements
Job performance will normally require only minor lifting and carrying of boxes of records or equipment.
