Summary
Estimates labor and material costs of manufacturing and engineering based on Request for Quote (RFQ) data submitted by prospective customers. Analyzes specifications, including sketches, blueprints, bills of material, or sample layouts, and calculates production costs using labor and material pricing schedules and historical data. Collects cost data from functional representatives, subcontractors, and vendors. Computes cost estimates of raw materials or subcontracted work and labor. Prepares and maintains historical cost data. Creates cost models for cost estimating elements. Prepares cost reports and presents findings to management, contract staff, proposal coordinators, customer representatives, price auditors, vendors, and subcontractors. #LI-MJ1

What you will do
Develops, plans and schedules proposals. Compiles cost, schedule, and technical elements in the development of proposals in accordance with request for proposal (RFP) specifications. Coordinates the collection and accumulation of cost, scheduling, and performance elements from functional departments. Researches and analyzes historical data, develops cost models to support proposal efforts. Coordinates activities and participates in fact-finding meetings. Participates in should-cost and pricing reviews with management and customer representatives. Participates as a member of the contract negotiating team.
What you must have
- Must have 3 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 1 year relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma/equivalent and 7 years relevant experience.
- Must have knowledge/experinece in an structual trade.
- Must have relevant experience analyzing cost data.
- Must be proficient with Microsoft office suite.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD secret level security clearance.
- Must be an effective communicator
- Must be a U.S. citizen

- Proficentcy with Microsoft Project preferred.
- Ability to read and analyze technical drawings and manuals is preferred
- Relevant experience developing Plan of Action and Milestones (POAM) a plus
- Mechanical and electrical experience and/or knowledge is preferred.
- Installation experience a plus.
Physical Requirements
Minimal mobility, dexterity, or coordination required to operate business machines. Minimal lifting may be required.
