Job Description
Summary

Join HII as we keep the world's most powerful Navy afloat! Seeking Senior Subcontract Administrator to join the Contracts and Procurement department. This position will require the selected candidate to have extensive experience in a government contracting environment supporting multiple contract types while possessing high attention to detail and the ability to multi-task.

What you will do

  • Develop subcontract specifications, work statements, and terms and conditions for the procurement of specialized materials, equipment, and/or services.
  • Prepares bid packages, conducts bidders' conferences, analyze and evaluate proposals, negotiates subcontract provisions, selects or recommends subcontractors, writes awards, and administers resulting subcontracts.
  • Negotiates and coordinates additions, deletions, or modifications to subcontracts.
  • Participate with contract administration and purchasing to develop subcontract policies and procedures.

What we are looking for
  • 10 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 8 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 14 years relevant experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of FAR/DFARs.
  • Experience performing price/cost analysis and negotiation memorandums.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of best practices in subcontracting.
  • Experience negotiating subcontract agreements of various contract types.
  • Experience working in a CPSR environment.
  • Problem solving skills.
  • A new Federal Executive Order requires that employees of Federal contractors be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 by December 8, 2021. Physical Requirements
Minimal mobility, dexterity, or coordination required to operate common business machines. Maximum lifting required is approximately 40 pounds from floor to three feet in height.
