Job Description
Position Summary:
Under limited supervision, plans, designs, produces and maintains a variety of complex electric and electronic components, apparatus and/or circuitry for use in electronic devices. Evaluate electronic circuits and devices to identify key characteristics and develop schematic diagrams with limited technical information. Identify necessary test requirements and develop test plans for legacy assemblies, prototypes, and final products.
Works directly with senior technical personnel and project managers in the planning and execution of technical activities on complex projects related to system and technical product development. Employs existing guidelines and instructions, guidance from higher-level engineers, experience, and independent judgment to plan and accomplish task objectives. Assignments may require the development of improvements to current techniques and procedures.

Job Duties:
- Performs an assortment of complex engineering duties such as the planning of product design process, test and verification planning, analysis of alternative components and parts, and obsolescence resolution.
- Design and develop electronics and circuits.
- Perform product testing and create models and prototypes.
- Develop and document electronic schematics for products.
- Reverse engineering of legacy products
- Works directly with engineers in other disciplines and technicians to reverse engineer legacy products and to design and test modified or replacement products.
- May provide work leadership, mentorship, and training to lower level professional and technical staff.
- Support business development and proposal efforts.
Qualifications:
- High School plus 11 to 13 years experience.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics or a related disciplinne plus 5 to 7 years experience.
- Masters Degree(s) in engineering, computer science, mathematics or a related discipline plus 3 to 5 years experience
