Job Description
The Security Administrator, Senior position requires in-depth knowledge of Industrial and Program Security, with a strong emphasis and understanding of Personnel Security, along with knowledge and expertise of Access Commander, Database Reconciliation, SCI Nominations, and overall DISS security actions.
Job Description:
- The successful candidate will work closely with various Government Agencies and Program Offices submitting access level nominations, processing personnel paperwork to include SCI nominations, administering indoctrinations, visit requests, debriefings, and local record checks.
- The successful candidate will function as a member of the security team and will provide guidance and support as needed to Alion field sites.
- Provides guidance and support to staff members and employees concerning all personnel security matters.
- Strong working knowledge and experience with the Defense Information System for Security (DISS).
- Initiate, review, submit, and follow up on eQIP applications in support of initial and periodic reinvestigations for security clearances. Performs status checks on current investigations, determining upcoming reinvestigation dates, and relaying that information back to each employee.
- Assist applicants with corrective action concerning completion/submission of personnel security documents.
- Coordinate and schedule fingerprints through Field Print and upload accordingly into SWIFT.
- Administer and maintain procedures for employee identification (badging) equipment, and employee property.
- Track personnel security documents to ensure accurate processing.
- Manages and tracks personnel who are enrolled into the Continuous Evaluation Program.
- Knowledge of DOE or other industrial security programs a plus.
- Ensures accuracy of the Access Commander database.
- Responsible for preparation, management and interfacing with the Defense Counter Intelligence Security Agency (DCSA) during security audits.
- In-depth working knowledge of the National Industrial Security Program (NISPOM).
- Thorough knowledge of using/applying US Government online programs such as the Electronic Personnel Security Questionnaire (EPSQ); Electronic Questionnaires for Investigations Processing (e-QIP), Defense Information System for Security (DISS) and the National Industrial Security System (NISS).
- Excellent oral and written communications skills.
- May be assigned other Corporate initiatives relating to security.
- The candidate will also perform other duties as directed.

Requirements:
- Must have an Associate Degree with a minimum of 11 years of experience, a Bachelors with minimum 5 years, or a Masters and minimum 3 years experience as a security professional supporting the Department of Defense or Intelligence Community programs with knowledge of the NISPOM, ICDs, and 5205.07.
- Extensive knowledge of security policies and procedures.
- DCSA FSO certification for possessing facilities recommended but not required.
- Candidate must work well in a team environment and possess excellent speaking, writing, organizational, and customer service skills.
- The candidate must be able to work with minimal supervision on multiple tasks and work well under deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Candidate must be able to prioritize tasks and handle multiple assignments concurrently.
- Candidate should have proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, DISS, NISS, SWFT (ACCS is a plus).
- Must possess a current Top Secret clearance with an in-scope background investigation as well as have the ability to meet Top Secret/SCI eligibility requirements.
