Job Description:
Provide software development team Scrum Master subject-matter-expertise support, primarily by conducting or leading Agile-based development efforts to advance the organization's mission of providing effective Offensive/Defensive Cyber Operations (OCO/DCO) capabilities. Provide Agile coaching support and facilitation of all Scrum ceremonies to assist in the execution of the organization's mission.
Security Clearance: Top Secret SCI – Willing to take Polygraph.
Education/Certifications: BS in Computer Science or a related field with over eight (8+) years of experience (Preferred) or MS in Computer Science or related scientific/technical field with six to eight (6-8) years of experience (Preferred), and must have current Advanced Level Scrum Master Certification such as Certified Scrum Professional - ScrumMaster (CSP-SM), Professional Scrum Master III (PSM III), Advanced Certified ScrumMaster (A-CSM), Professional Scrum Master II (PSM II), SAFe Advanced Scrum Master (SASM) or equivalent certification and a Basic Level certification such as Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master I (PSM I)

Relevant Experience: Over eight (8+) years of experience in teaching Agile principles and techniques to small groups, developing self-organizing Agile teams, and applying Scrum principles, practices, and theory or six to eight (6 - 8) years executing Scrum Master duties for software development teams.
Key Requirements: Well-versed in applying a wide variety of well documented patterns and techniques for filling in the intentional gaps left in the Scrum approach (e.g., Burndown techniques, Retrospective formats, alleviating issues/blockers); competent in facilitating all Scrum ceremonies in a Sprint Cycle. Excellent analytical and technical problem-solving skills; experience in assessing the Scrum Maturity of the team and organization and coaching the team to higher levels of maturity, at a pace that is sustainable and comfortable for the team and organization.
Position Specific Responsibilities:
- Guiding the team and organization on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and core values to provide rapid and consistent value to the customer.
- Facilitating accomplishment of Sprint Goals without coercion, assigning, or dictating the work while removing impediments as they arise.
- Assisting with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and radiating information for team and customer awareness.
- Supporting and educating the Product Owner, especially with respect to grooming and maintaining the product backlog.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Additional Agile-based training or certifications (e.g., SAFe, ICAgile, PMI-ACP).
- Knowledge of other Agile approaches, specifically Kanban and its application to Scrum teams.
- Knowledge and/or experience with the Atlassian software stack (Jira and Confluence).
