Job Description

Our expertise in collecting, analyzing, and formatting spectrum data, including RF measurement, frequency assignment, spectrum certification, LiDAR, and other geo-referenced data, enables us to produce refined RF modeling and simulation tools and applications with the reliability and precision needed to assure spectrum access and control. HII's analysis-driven tools support diverse tasks such as spectrum forensics and deconfliction, testing for coverage amid urban clutter, and antenna site planning. HII's Radio Frequency and Electromagnetic Spectrum Engineering Directorate (RESED) offers a variety of work, from projects supporting international satellite coordination to countering IEDs. Responsibilities
  • Monitor 5G news
  • Data pulls from SXXI and E2ESS as requested
  • Review documents concerning policy/recommendations and provide comments
  • Maintain and update slide decks for the weekly meetings
  • Pull data from SXXI and E2ESS as requested
  • Monitor FCC Auctions maintain list of FCC auction history
  • Monitoring 1755 EEP for new cases
  • Send new cases available from DACAMP/receiving results to/from Engineering Team, uploading results to DACAMP, and create summary
  • Upkeep on 1755-1780 MHz Master Workbook (AFSMO Shared Drive), Transition Plans (in ST2), and Supplementary Data (available in DACAMP as needed
  • Regular monitoring of deletions in SXXI
  • Data pulls in SXXI/E2ESS concerning AWS-3, or CBRS; Assistance in review and deletions reporting for AWS-3 Quarterly Reports
  • Attend and provide notes on significant events and highlights in Working Groups or Tiger Teams
  • Extract materials from DACAMP as directed by DSO and providing them to Engineering team for cases outside of formal AWS-3 process (Notching, Exemplars, CCCLs, Reruns, Parameter Changes, Shapefiles, etc.)
  • Familiarity with various websites and database
    • DACAMP
    • 1755-1780 MHz Early Entry Portal
    • SXXI
    • ST2 (Transition Plan Reporting
    • Others
  • Attend various meetings and record notes as needed
  • Performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree plus 2 to 4 years of relevant work experience. Degree must be in engineering, computer science, mathematics or a related discipline.
  • In some cases, educational requirements may be adjusted or waived for more than 7 years of applicable work experience. Work experience may be adjusted based on education, or highly specialized knowledge or uniquely applicable experience for positions involving new technology or labor market shortages as reflected by market survey data.
  • Knowledge of engineering principles, methods, and techniques within a specific area of expertise.
  • Knowledge of relevant tools, equipment, hardware, and software.
  • Effective organization level communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite programs, MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • A Secret security clearance is required prior to employment and must be kept current during employment
