Who We Are
HII-Technical Solutions Division (HII-TSD) is currently seeking a Publicly Available Information Associate Researcher to support the U.S. Special Operations Command Africa (SOCAFRICA) in Stuttgart, Germany.
SOCAFRICA is tasked with conducting security missions and meeting Geographic Combatant Commander(GCC) operational goals in Africa. In meeting these goals, SOCAFRICA treats information as a strategic asset and leverages this asset to support warfighting, improve operations, and support other Combatant Commands(COCOMs), Services, Agencies, and multinational allies.

What You Will Do
- Evaluate multi-source information, develop research methods, and use various data collection platforms to improve processes in direct support of SOCAFRICA.
- Collaborate with SOCAFRICA operations personnel, USAFRICOM, U.S. law enforcement and other U.S. and allied national agencies to improve review, production, access to adversarial threat data, and develop collaborative efforts.
- Assess classified and unclassified critical and sensitive information to understand and report adversary strengths, weaknesses and centers of gravity.
- Research, evaluate, examine, and provide recommendations on complex assignments to fuse multi-source information from multiple disciplines to satisfy a broad range of customer requirements within assigned areas of responsibility.
- Analyze complex data sets to identify gaps and provide recommendations to develop and expand research objectives to broaden understanding of adversary objectives.
- Synthesize large data sets to inform senior researchers and staff on the potential design of complex analyses. Based on operational requirements, determine the best approach to accomplish research problems.
- Review and evaluate primary, secondary, and tertiary sources of information that vary in clarity and validity. Shape, fuse, and provide recommendations which influence the content, form and format of tailored, timely, accurate and relevant assessments to internal and external mid-level clients of all types on policy-making, acquisition and operational customer sets.
What We Are Looking For
- 5 years relevant experience with Bachelors with focus on Social Science/Research Methodologies; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 10 years relevant experience.
- 5 years experience in a wide range of PAI research, collection methods, and techniques.
- Expertise in producing collections requirements assessments.
- Advanced skills in conducting searches in a digital environment.
- Advanced understanding of PAI data, platforms, and technologies.
- Advanced working knowledge of geo-enabled PAI.
- Basic understanding of the Deep/Dark web.
- Advanced working knowledge of PAI support to operations and sensitive productions.
- Clearance: Must possess and maintain a TS/SCI clearance
Preferred: Bonus Points For...
- 7 years' experience in a wide range of PAI research, collection methods and techniques.
- Advanced PAI research support to operations training [similar to Cyber Advanced Support Operations Course (CASO)/Cyberspace Open Source Methods and Operations (COSMO) training].
