Job Description
We are looking for candidates with a background in personnel security and vetting to lead both virtual and in-person trainings, to include developing curriculum and instruction materials. Must have an engaging personality, an analytic mindset, responsiveness, and experience leading professional development or software trainings.
This effort will be in support of The National Background Investigation Services (NBIS) system, the federal government's one-stop-shop IT system for end-to-end personnel vetting — from initiation and application to background investigation, adjudication, and continuous vetting. NBIS is one consolidated system designed to deliver robust data protection, enhance customer experience, and better integrate data across the enterprise.

This role will report to our office in Kingstowne, Alexandria. This position is fully remote. Travel may be required.
Duties:
- Support development of NBIS training materials, such as videos and job aids
- Provide technical review of NBIS training materials to validate content against actual system functionality
- Assist in development of communication activities with industry and agency personnel to advertise and obtain feedback on training products
- Interact with NBIS customers (federal agency and industry vetting leads) to train them how to onboard their organization to the new NBIS system.
- Conduct training evaluations as needed to assist in improving NBIS training materials.
- Develop customer relationships and maintain communication with them as they onboard their agency onto NBIS.
- Some travel may be required.

Required Skills:
- A background in personnel security & vetting
- Experience conducting training in classrooms or small groups.
- Experience in training curriculum development.
- Strong presentation skills.
- Strong computer skills including MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively with others.
- Ability to speak in a public forum.
- Excellent communication skills including active listening and empathy.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability and willingness to travel, sometimes on short notice CONUS.
