This position will involve engineering and technical support related to the construction, testing and operations of propulsion and reactor plant components. Hiring into the Maritime Operations Group will also provide unique opportunities for technical, leadership and professional development.

What you will do:
Researches, plans, designs, verifies, validates and develops mechanical and/or electromechanical products and systems, such as metals, instruments, controls, plastics, robots, engines, machines and mechanical, resonance, hydraulic or heat transfer systems for production, transmission, measurement, and use of energy. Recommends various technology options or approaches for system, processes, facility or program improvements in terms of safety, performance, efficiency or costs. May be responsible for the transfer from R and D to manufacturing.

What we are looking for:

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering and 2 years of relevant professional/exempt experience or 2 years of experience with a Masters Degree.
Candidate must have successfully completed an undergraduate engineering degree from an ABET accredited program.
Candidate must have experience utilizing industry-current Engineering design and analytical or modeling software.

Physical Requirements
May require working in an office, industrial, shipboard, or laboratory environment. Capable of climbing ladders and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances.
