Job Description
Job Summary:
This contract position provides engineering support to the US Army Ground Vehicle Systems Center (GVSC) in Warren, Michigan. GVSC is the premier Research & Development Center for all things military ground vehicle related.
Job Duties:
- GVSC's Vibration Test Lab requires someone to support efforts to improve the maintenance program.
- The position duties include gathering equipment usage information, working with equipment manufacturers to improve service life, developing metrics usage / readiness / failure rates, and employing a commercial off-the-shelf software solution to automate the tracking / scheduling of maintenance and replacement. Lean Six Sigma experience would be a serious advantage to a candidate
- Because the Vibration Test Lab tests whole vehicle systems that weigh many tons, most of the their systems are mechanical hydraulic systems with controls. Industrial Hydraulics and Control experience would be a huge plus.

Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or Bachelors degree plus 5 to 7 or MS 3 to 5
- The candidate must be able to obtain and hold a SECRET clearance.
