Job Description
Alion Science and Technology, an Huntington Ingalls Industries Company is looking for a Low Observable Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support a position located at Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio.
Experience:
- Candidate must have Chief Engineer level engineering skills and credentials
- Knowledge and experience developing, integrating, testing, fielding, and supporting Low Observable (LO) technologies on an ACAT I or 35 Version 02 dated 2021.09.02 equivalent LO aircraft program to include:
- Implementing LO technologies and materials to achieve signature performance goals
- Balancing LO design and integration details with other disciplines (propulsion, structures, subsystems, etc.)
- Validating LO design versus survivability specifications through analysis of Tier 0, I, II, III, and IV RF data
- Developing probes, sensors, radars, and other signature assessment tools
- Understanding the processes and means by which to do signature health assessments, as well as repairs, in the field of LO aircraft.
- Knowledge and experience in engineering principles, criteria, and procedures to Air Force systems, subsystems, and equipment procurement activities, post award project/program management tasks, and acquisition programs throughout their life cycles.
- Apply engineering knowledge and experience to organize and manage resources and personnel needed to efficiently and effectively accomplish USAF and acquisition objectives consistent with DoD 5000.02 policies and procedures.

Education and Yeas of Experience:
- Subject Matter Expert (SME) support requires a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in engineering, mathematics, or science and 25 years of relevant DoD experience.
- Ten (10) of these years must be broad, proven experience in government or industry leadership roles on major ACAT I aircraft development programs with at least two (2) years SAP experience accrued within the last four (4) years.
