Description

Technical Solutions, a division of Huntington Ingalls Industries is looking for a qualified individual to fill the role of a Process Engineer for their Advanced Modeling and Simulation Technical Operation. Under the direction and guidance of the Process Engineering Lead, this person would be responsible for:

  • Maintaining a CMMI SVC and CMMI DEV Maturity Level 3 accreditation for the organization.
  • Defining, implementing and maintaining processes and procedures to meet business objectives
  • Analyzing and identifying opportunities for process improvements
  • Developing initiatives for continuous process improvement
  • Ensuring compliance with customer and company proposed standards
  • Working with other process engineers in integration of new and existing processes
  • Using best practices to carry out process analysis, re-engineering, process measurements and change management activities
  • Working with stakeholders to identify business requirements, processes and risks
  • Prioritizing and executing projects for ongoing process improvements
  • Developing workflows to support digital execution of business processes

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelors in related field with 2+ years of work experience, or Masters and 0 years of experience. In some cases, educational requirements may be adjusted for applicable work experience. Work experience may be adjusted for highly specialized knowledge or uniquely applicable experience.
  • Background in CMMI SVC and CMMI DEV models
  • Involvement within or leading a CMMI-certified organization
  • Basic understanding of other process/quality frameworks: ISO 9001, DevSecOps, Lean, Six Sigma
  • Intermediate knowledge on workflow process, particularly with respect to technical management
  • Experience in auditing, process documentation, workflow definition, and analyzing gaps
  • Self-motivated and driven desire to succeed with minimal direction
  • Ability to work both in a team and individually
  • Mature technical writing capability
  • Ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance

Preferred Qualifications
  • CMMI Certification (Associate or Professional)
  • Experience working directly with engineers and engineering managers with attention to process
  • Experience with Atlassian products, particularly Jira and Confluence
