Job Description
Alion Science and Technology is seeking a Hardware Engineer Intern to join our National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC) support team to support efforts with digital hardware design and verification, and reverse engineering of electronics hardware. The work is performed at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base (WPAFB) in Dayton. To find out more about this exciting mission read NASIC's Acquire, Assess, Exploit article.
This effort includes direct functional evaluation of hardware as well as contributing to the investigation, research, and development of new methods and techniques for evaluation, analysis, and verification of FPGA and ASIC digital designs. Many innovative solutions applying to DoD mission critical problems will be researched, developed, and deployed.

Requirements
- Prospective candidates must be able to work well in a team environment and independently under general supervision.
- Coursework in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
- C++ programming
- Digital Design
- Strong documentation and writing skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Office products
Preferred:
- Fundamental understanding of FPGA architectures
- Knowledge of computer programming, design software, and system design
