HII – Mission Driven Innovative Solutions is currently seeking an Enteprise Data Security Architect to work for our customer, located in the Northern Virginia, supporting the modernization, alignment, and integration of Combatant Command and Defense intelligence Enterprise capabilities for the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Intelligence and Security – OUSD(I&S).

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • The Enterprise Data Security Architect will integrate with cross-functional teams specializing in architecture development, solutions analysis, intelligence functional expertise, JCIDS requirements management, and PPBE documentation informing the development and implementation of Information Technology (IT) business processes, programs, plans and guidance for Defense Intelligence warfighting support to the Combatant Commands and the integration with Mission Partner Environments.
  • Provides architectural analysis of data security features and relates existing system to future needs and trends
  • Conducts risk assessments and provides recommendations for application design and system/network hardening
  • Ensures system security needs are documented, established and maintained for operations development, security requirements definition, systems design, security test and evaluation, certification and accreditation, systems hardening, vulnerability testing and scanning, incident response, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning
  • Provides analytical support for security policy development and analysis.
  • Recommends and supports the integration of new architectural features into existing security infrastructures: designs cyber security architectural artifacts, provides engineering recommendations, and resolves integration and testing issues.
  • May be involved with the design, testing, and implemention of state-of-the-art enteprise-wide secure operating systems, networks, and database products
  • May be Involved in a wide range of security discussions including architectures, firewalls, electronic data traffic, and network access
  • May perform research on encryption and other information technology security products
  • May interface with external entities including intelligence and other government organizations and agencies.


Minimum Qualifications

  • 9 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 7 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 4 years relevant experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 13 years relevant experience.
  • US Citizen
  • Strong presentation and communication skills.
  • Security Clearance: Must possess and maintain an active TS/SCI


Preferred Requirements

  • Additional Experience on the following is preferred, but not required
  • Multiple IC organizations and data sharing security protocols
  • Understanding of coalition intelligence and data sharing program, techniques or methodologies
  • Commonly used cross domain transfer options and technologies
  • Experience with enterprise architecture frameworks, best practices and goals (DoDAF 2.02, Zachman, FEAC, TOGAF, UPDM, or UAF) and/or use of Cameo NoMagic architecture software
  • Previous exposure to or experience with some or all of the relevant capabilities, functions, missions, and processes of the US Defense Combatant Commands, CCMD JIOCs and coalition interoperability
