Position Summary
Alion is currently hiring for a Cyber Operations Support Technician to support our prime contract in San Antonio. The candidate for this position will:
- Conduct Offensive Cyberspace Operations (OCO) and Defensive Cyberspace Operations (DCO) using established tactics, techniques and procedures (TTPs) to achieve objectives
- Assess and reverse engineer network nodes and infrastructure devices (to include operating systems and software applications) to determine capabilities, functionalities, limitations and vulnerabilities
- Conduct specific cyberspace actions in support of intelligence operations
- Participate in research and development as well as operational testing and evaluation to determine possible new or modifications to existing capabilities
- Collaborate with other DoD, interagency and Joint Forces to apply forensic and reverse engineered TTPs to determine the extent of the battle damage sustained during cyberspace attacks
- Provide support for 24x7 Cyber Network Operations (CNO) during non-core business hours
- Employ the Plan, Brief, Execute, and Debrief (PBED) methodology

Job Requirements:
- Security Clearance: Top Secret w/ current SCI – Willing to take Polygraph and comply with SAP requirements
Education/ Certifications: Degree in Computer Science or a related Field with two (2) years (BS) of experience or five (5) years of related experience or awarded Air Force AFSC 1B4/3D0/service equivalent. Cyber certification qualification(s): DoDI-8570.01-m IAT Level II & Linux + (Plus) (Preferred)
Relevant Experience: Comprehensive knowledge of computer operating systems, software applications, database concepts, common programming languages and hardware components. Also, understanding of networking fundamentals to include protocols, network addressing, network infrastructure, and data communications. Air Force Specialty Code (AFSC) 1B4X1 or 3D052 or like experience (Preferred)
Key Requirements: Training/experience/familiarity with various unclassified open source tools and concepts to include but not limited to: Microsoft, Linux administration, PowerShell, VMware, Putty, Buffer Overflow and Techniques, Privilege Escalation, Rootkit, Redirection and Triggering, Tunneling, Encryption, Secure Enclaves, Boundary Protection
In some cases, educational requirements may be adjusted or waived for applicable work experience. Work experience may be adjusted for highly specialized knowledge or uniquely applicable experience
