Who We Are

Huntington Ingalls Industries – Technical Solutions Division (HII-TSD) is currently seeking a Customer Relations and Outreach Manager to support our Director of Intelligence and ISR Operations. The Customer Relations and Outreach Manager will work closely with existing customers to meet their growing requirements as well as identifying new customers with requirements that fall within Intelligence and ISR requirements. The Customer Relations and Outreach Manager's responsibilities include developing and executing a comprehensive business plan to achieve Intelligence and ISR business area revenue targets for US Government clients. Execution includes personally developing new customer accounts, qualifying opportunities, driving account growth, and assisting in the closing sales opportunities. This position can be performed remote with flexibility for reaching locations globally.

  • Sets and drives the strategy for new business opportunities to meet customer requirements.
  • Develop and manage the business development pipeline to achieve corporate revenue objectives.
  • Grow business partner relationships to drive business growth.
  • Work collaboratively with across company functions including finance, legal, engineering and product to deliver targeted results.
  • Identify, qualify, shape, and win strategically relevant, long term business opportunities.
  • Coordinates the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of contract.
  • Develop a deep understanding of customer challenges to deliver and win compelling, high-impact solutions.
  • Develop and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Develops new business or expands the product line with the customer.
  • Reinforce by example the company's commitment to its values, including its compliance program and code of ethics.


What you must have
  • 10 years relevant progressive experience with Bachelors in related field; or 8 years relevant progressive experience with Masters in related field.
  • Relevant military and/or intelligence background.
  • Experience in government contracting and acquisition mechanisms in all territories, including understanding of applicable procurement law and regulation.
  • Effective communications skills with C-level, financial, technical, and user audiences.
  • Experience establishing and managing sales channels and strategic partnerships.
  • Experience with data analytics.
  • Basic understanding of ISR technologies, data, and applications in government and commercial markets.
  • Ability to quickly learn and apply new technical capabilities to customer problems.
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Self-motivated; self-starter; accountable for delivering results.
  • Clearance: Must possess and maintain a TS/SCI clearance


Bonus Points for...
  • Experience selling products and services for defense and intelligence industry contractors, remote sensing and/or space related companies
  • Remote Sensing, GIS, GEOINT, SIGINT, and ELINT technical understanding.
  • Understanding how to prospect, search and sell across defense, intelligence and commercial markets.
  • Effectively addressing technical requests and communicating with technical teams.
  • Sales Operations experience, i.e., CRM, reporting.
