Alion Science and Technology is seeking a qualified individual to fill the role of a Senior Configuration Management Analyst for their Advanced Modeling and Simulation Technical Operation. Under the direction and guidance of the leadership team, this person would be responsible for:

• Configuration management and data management of documents, hardware and software baselines, hardware baselines and data. Analyzes proposed product design changes to determine the effect on the overall system.
• Configuration control during product development phase.
• Ensuring configuration identification by reviewing design release documents for completeness, proper authorizations and system updates.
• Developing complex configuration analysis plans to encompass contractual requirements.
• Coordinating with customers and manufacturers to determine a process for change reporting.
• Preparing deviations and waivers for government approval when specifications cannot be met.
• Conducting internal configuration audits and compile audit reports
• Providing project-level technical support to other staff.
• Preparing or providing input to engineering analyses, status reports, letters, technical memoranda, and briefings.
• Providing advice and guidance on methods, procedures and requirements to individuals responsible for the creation of documentation.
• Performing additional CM duties and responsibilities as assigned.
• Scheduling and facilitating bi-weekly Review Board Meetings
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in related discipline with at least 5 years of directly related experience or a Master's degree and 3 years of experience.
• In some cases, educational requirements may be adjusted or waived for more than 10 years applicable work experience.
• Active Secret Security Clearance
• ITIL V4 Foundation -- Preferred
• General knowledge of CM Standards (e.g. EIA 649)
• Experience with technology related to IT and networks
• Team player with ability to act as the interface between different teams (Government/Contractor/Vendors)
• Excellent analytical skills
• Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
• Must possess a valid state Driver's License
Preferred Qualifications
• ITIL V4 Foundation Certification or CM-related certification
• Experience working directly with engineers and engineering managers with attention to process
• Experience with Atlassian products, particularly Jira and Confluence
