HII-Technical Solutions Division (TSD) is currently looking for a lead Infrastructure Engineer to head up a team that design and deploys capabilities for a DoD customer. with a Cybersecurity Situational awareness mission in their Annapolis Junction, MD location. The position may include occasional travel to FL.

The project scope is to deploy tools and processes and capabilities to provide the customer detailed awareness of netflow traffic supporting their cybersecurity mission. This will include developing developing and deploying a cloud-based infrastructure to support data analytics and real-time monitoring.
Essential Job Responsibilities
Act as Service Owner for key process are for the client to maintain and operate and develop infrastructure for collection of netflow to the customer data warehouse from sensors across a global network. Lead a small team of operations system administrators and System engineers. The team maintains both on-premises and cloud based servers. The team's duties include installing hardware (if Government waiver is approved), installing virtual components as systems, installing servers, installing operating systems, installing software, uninstalling software, monitoring systems and processes, patching operating systems and software applications, installing network devices, configuring network devices, patching network devices, monitoring network devices, installing storage and database systems, patching storage and database systems, configuring and tuning system processes, and troubleshooting and resolving problems with the Data Warehouse.
As team lead and service owner the candidate will be the primary internal and external Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the service they are assigned to manage. They should be aware of the state of the service at all time and ensure the service is providing value at all time to program managers and mission partners.
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum education: 15 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 13 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 10 years relevant experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 19 years relevant experience.
- Expertise is in a particular area of Information Technology (e.g., Information Systems Architecture, Telecommunications Systems Design, Architecture, Implementation, Information Systems Integration, Software Development Methodologies, Security Engineering, Communications and Network Systems Management).
- Knowledge of DevOps methodologies, AWS, Hadoop Distributed File System (HDFS), Spark and other open source and commercial equivalent technologies and applying them to a brand new architecture.
- Must have experience with containerized services, docker, agile technologies.
- Security Clearance: An active Secret Clearance is required to start with the ability to obtain and maintain a post-start TS/SCI.
Preferred Requirements
- Experience with or knowledge of Intel Lustre, SiLK, OPENSHIFT.
- Experience with data center design/operation and cloud transition. AWS GovCloud preferred.
- Knowledge and experience with multiple operating systems such as MS Windows, Linux and Unix.
