Who We Are
Technical Solutions, a division of Huntington Ingalls Industries is currently seeking a Master Tradesperson 2 candidate that has Navy Civil Engineer End Item (CEEI) support experience with either Navy Construction Battalion or Special Warfare experience. The selected candidate will be required to work with a team of fellow employees and subcontractors in warehouse work. This will involve the evaluation and maintenance of a wide variety of material in support of the Naval Expeditionary Logistics Support Group. Ensuring material for the Expeditionary Sailor have what they need for mission support. Candidate will be using a Warehouse Inventory Management System to schedule, track status of military CEEI material. These processes include material assignment to a specific Table of Allowance (TOA) build configuration. Candidate may be required to attend weekly meetings assessing tasks to ensure safety protocols and provide input on continuous process improvement applicable to Standard Operating Procedures. Candidate is required to support other functional area leads when customer mission support dictates urgency. Candidate is required to ensure all work is done safely and in accordance with established work instructions. What You Will Do
- Installs, operates, maintains, repairs and modifies CEEI equipment.
- Performs a variety of maintenance and technical support on products such as equipment, integrated systems and subsystems, and software at customer and/or field locations.
- Analyzes and evaluates products and related performance.
- Troubleshoots and diagnoses malfunctions to eliminate problem in minimum time.
- Installs, upgrades and removes products ensuring coordinative engineering field change.
- Maintains effective customer communications and relations.
- May provide onsite training of customer support personnel.
- Applies understanding of production and processes to assignments.
- Performs a variety of complicated tasks.
- May assist in the development and use technical documents including controlled work packages, formal work processes and procedures, test documents, reports and task or trip reports.
- Performs duties outside of specialty in order to complete installation or work assignment.
What You Must Have
- High School education, Trade School or equivalent, and 2 years of related experience.
- Specific experience working on and with CEEI material.
- Navy's Advanced Plumbing, Electricity, AC&R, Water Treatment training and experience.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a public of trust security clearance.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to lift, carry and transport heavy equipment and boxes. The exact weight requirements will be determined by the specific job, but no less than 30 lbs. Able to work on and climb ladders, work in extreme temperature environments, aboard ships, in shipyards, under industrial conditions and in confined spaces. Able to perform other duties as required which may involve high heat, humidity, noise and dirty conditions, working aloft or over the sides of vessels. May ride ships at sea for extended periods. May require wearing a respirator. Travel may be required within and outside of the continental United States.
