Job Description
This contract position provides support to the US Army Ground Vehicle Systems Center, the premier Research & Development organization for military ground vehicle systems. Embedded in the customer team, this is position utilizes DoD unique software to schedule travel for government employees, assist in their expense reports, track work hours, and assign and track mandatory training. Prior experience with these systems would be a plus, but we are prepared to provide training for an otherwise qualified candidate.
As there will be work to compose, edit, and review various correspondence, memorandum, reports, policies, and procedures, proficiency in MS Office Suite products and Adobe Acrobat is required. MS Teams is the primary web conferencing tool used, prior experience would be beneficial. Prior SharePoint experience would also be beneficial.

When teleworking, some events (such as speaking with senior leadership) are mandated as camera-on. Pre-COVID this position would have been 100% at the government work-site. With the current telework guidance this position will be a mix of telework on and onsite, heavily onsite at first as the new employee is trained and becomes proficient in their duties. It is anticipated that post-COVID this position will return to 100% onsite. Current Army guidance is that all personnel onsite, vaccinated or not, shall wear masks.
Other duties include:
Performs a variety of activities in support of functional areas such as finance, purchasing, office supply management / ordering. Performs normal office functions such as setting up and maintaining files; interviewing callers and making proper referrals; arranging meetings, conferences, organizational events, and luncheons; and receiving, referring, or answering mail. Reviews drafts and finished documents for appropriate grammatical usage; answers questions relating to office operations and established policies and procedures. Gathers, compiles and reports on information relevant to supervisor's assignment. Gathers, collects, records, tracks and verifies data and information from multiple sources. Compiles, reviews and analyzes data. Uses software for functional area, to compile and generate reports, statistics, timelines, tables, graphs, correspondence and presentations. Provides data and information to others on functional unit processes and procedures.
The candidate must be able to obtain and hold a SECRET clearance.
