The Creative Support Team Manager oversees a team of creative resources (graphic designers and content developers) who deliver, on behalf of hundreds of clients, best practice communications that promote Alight products and services. The role is based on strong project, operations, relationship and people management skills and works with a variety of stakeholders such as business and product leaders as well as other creative experts within Alight's Engagement Services business.

The Creative Support Team Manager oversees all delivery aspects for a portfolio of communication projects and campaigns of varying sizes and complexity over the entire life of an Alight service. The Creative Support Team Manager role is grounded in strong project management skills, experience in effectively managing creative delivery and the ability to consult around, develop and manage operational efficiencies to enhance end-to-end delivery for Alight clients.

Responsibilities
Team Management
- Build and manage creative delivery team of graphic designers and content developers who support specific communication solutions included with specific Alight products
- Serve as the spokesperson for team and liaison to creative and product teams based in the United States, helping to ensure that the local team feels engaged and supported
- Partner/advise business and delivery stakeholders on developing new or adapting existing communication delivery processes, tools and standards (from intake through close-out of projects) to ensure efficient and accurate delivery
- Serve as the liaison between communication product managers and the creative delivery team for the intake, management and delivery of work
- Facilitates and contributes to governance, planning and status meetings with U.S.-based communication stakeholders
- Create, implement and uphold defined processes, tools and standards to enable and support the team's day-to-day delivery responsibilities
- Improves team performance by building team cohesiveness, leading, mentoring, training, and motivating in order to facilitate cooperation, ensure project efficiency, and boost morale

Project Management
Scoping and Requirements
- On behalf of the team, manage intake of new work assignments through validating scope, timing, budget and delivery model with appropriate contacts and ensuring this is well documented.
- Identifies key stakeholders and sets expectations for the project in accordance with the project plan
- Manages/records detailed project requirements, constraints, and assumptions with stakeholders in order to establish the project deliverables, using requirement-gathering techniques (e.g., planning sessions, brainstorming) and the project charter
- Identify and staff internal/external project resources
- Prepares for and leads project kickoff meeting(s) and ongoing status meetings
Governance
- Prepares for and leads project planning meetings
- Develops project or work stream schedule and risk management plan
- Apply project management and workflow tools (e.g., Jira, Smartsheet) to track and measure ongoing delivery and progress.
- Raises appropriate risks and is part of solutioning with other stakeholders
- Implements approved actions and workarounds required to mitigate risk events and minimize their impact on the project
- Completes project and process evaluation, scorecard review, internal/external debrief meetings, and documentation, and provides input to development of ongoing refresh schedule
- Provides any appropriate project transitions
- Provides input for and direction on process improvements/lessons learned and ensures appropriate revisions are made to project documentation and templates
Delivery and Workflow Management
- Ensure communication deliverables are timely and follow Alight's quality standards through the use of best practice tools, processes and standards
- Ensures that all documents are accurate and posted appropriately from the beginning to the end of a project or initiative
- Print Communication
- Develops/reviews assembly procedures, recommends delivery methods, advises project teams regarding print, assembly, and/or postage alternatives, including identification of lower-cost solutions when required
- Executes assembly procedures, monitors shipping or mailing to ensure/confirm delivery, manages print projects, including proof review/approval, and attends press checks for a wide range of print work
- Manages production quality for all media to ensure accuracy and that established expectations are met
- Digital/Personalization
- Ensures completion of requirements for configuration, internal testing, and client/external testing
- Experienced with software methodology development processes
Financial Management
- When outside supplier support (e.g., print or other communication vendor) is involved, work with internal and external stakeholders to gather project estimates
- Understands and verifies the financial scope of the project and provides support and financial data to stakeholders
- Applies financial acumen by using the appropriate financial tools to ensure billing accuracy and integrity
- Establishes, communicates, and utilizes appropriate project billing codes
- Works with Buy Team and follows their process to obtain quotes and select outside vendors, and completes requisition and change order requests
- Works with the Buy Team to complete the Consolidated Buy Process and is responsible for ensuring requisition and change order requests are completed
- Aids in the development of project budgets
- Manages project budgets
- Manages project scope changes using approved methods; escalates and facilitates scope change conversations with client leads/sales team/account executives and works with them to address scope changes with clients
- Tracks outside supplier expenses and scope changes; reviews outside supplier draft invoices in a timely manner; ensures billing accuracy; provides outside supplier expense summary reports to appropriate team members at the end of each project
- Meets revenue utilization target and recoverability/profitability goals while delegating work to others as appropriate
- Champions Alight's Engagement Services Project Management methodology to create efficiencies and continuously improve standards that drive higher margins/recoverability/profitability
- Support growth of work with existing clients by listening, identifying possible future needs, and pursuing new or expanded work with them. Shares information with the project lead but also takes a larger role in defining and developing the offer

Education and Requirements
- Bachelor's degree is a Must Have and Masters would be a Good to Have
- Knowledge and understanding of PMI Project Management process and tools (Jira, Smartsheet and experience In other workflow management tools are a plus)
- PMP Certification a plus but not required
- 5+ years of project management work experience in directing multimedia communication, marketing and/or creative work streams
- Direct benefits and human resources communications experience
- 10+ years of professional work experience with Team Management Experience
Work Policy
- Working in UK Shift from 12PM to 9PM
- Hybrid Work Model Offered (3 Days/Week From Office)
