As a Warehouse Operator II supporting our Material Distribution Team, you will be responsible for receiving and inspecting goods, verifying items against shipment records, and preparing items for shipment according to specifications and transportation methods at our Warehouse in Houston, TX.

In this role, a typical day will include:
  • Perform picks of warehouse materials using RF Handheld.
  • Conduct cycle counts of warehouse locations and execute material movements as needed.
  • Obtain and maintain certifications for Order Picker, Reach Truck, and Swing Reach Truck (training provided).
  • Maintain warehouse cleanliness through 6S practices and identify improvement opportunities (Kaizen).
  • Investigate, identify, and resolve inventory discrepancies in the SAP system.
  • Perform shipping and receiving duties using hand trucks, forklifts, and other devices, as well as computers to maintain data.
  • Receive incoming materials and prepare them for shipment.
  • Verify quantity, weight, and conformance of materials.
  • Prepare records of materials shipped and bills of lading.
  • Route materials to destinations.
  • Fabricate and assemble nonstandard shipping crates and boxes and prepare parts and tooling for special shipments.
  • Routinely lift 25-30 pounds, stand for long periods, and work at heights up to 25 feet.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English
  • Work hours: 1st Shift: Tuesday - Friday from 6:00am - 4:30pm
  • Travel Requirements: 0 to 10%
