Position Description:
The R&D Procurement Intern will play a crucial role in supporting the procurement function within the Research and Development department. This internship will provide valuable hands-on experience in strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, and data analysis.

Key Responsibilities:
- Spend and Supplier Analytics:
- Analyze spending data to identify cost-saving opportunities and areas for improvement.
- Develop and maintain supplier performance metrics.
- Conduct supplier market analysis to identify potential new suppliers.
- eSourcing and RFP Support:
- Assist in the creation and management of eSourcing events.
- Support the development and evaluation of Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
- Conduct supplier due diligence and reference checks.
- R&D Should Cost Modeling:
- Develop and maintain should-cost models for R&D materials and services.
- Analyze supplier pricing and cost structures to identify potential cost reductions.
- Corporate Spend Category Team Support:
- Collaborate with the Corporate Spend Category Team on cross-functional procurement initiatives.
- Assist in the development and implementation of procurement strategies.
- Must be enrolled in an accredited university or college for at least one semester prior to internship or co-op, and at least one additional semester following internship or co-op.
- Must be pursuing at least a bachelor's level degree in supply chain management, business administration or related major.
- Academic performance: Minimum cumulative GPA 2.8/4.0
- Demonstrated leadership skills (i.e. extracurricular activities or projects)
- Must be authorized to work in the US on a permanent basis without requiring sponsorship (students on an F1 visa with CPT can be accommodated)
- Ability to commit to a full time (40 hrs. per week) Intern position.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Interest in procurement and supply chain management.
- Experience with data analysis tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
