As a Senior Engineer 1 - Facilities Mechanical Engineer, the mission of the Facilities Engineer is to deliver services that support site operations and execute on facilities-utilities maintenance. The facilities team functions as the "Owners Agent" and operator of the non-production equipment, facility infrastructure, and facility equipment, at our Manufacturing Facility in Johns Creek, GA.

In this role, a typical day will include:
- Provide guidance, lead/co-lead projects, manage own time to meet objectives, and plan resource requirements for projects across the department.
- Serve as Subject Matter Expert in the design and operation of industrial equipment including but not limited to air compressors, chillers, cooling towers, piping, pumping, HVAC, dehumidification, and process cooling systems and management of mechanical integrity (including tanks, pressure vessels, and piping).
- Work closely with maintenance planner, and technicians to coordinate a variety of installation, repair, and maintenance tasks performed so that the production departments can function properly and reliably and achieve their quality and quantity goals.
- Facilitating equipment upgrades and integration of new technology to improve plant facilities / central utilities operations.
- Develop and lead facilities and infrastructure asset life-cycle replacement strategies and capital investment plans - as the owner agent.
- Monitor preventative and recurring work vs. reactive broke-fix work and develop strategies to promote low life cycle owning costs of the facilities and infrastructure asset.
- Selects engineering techniques to solve problems and makes recommendations including the coordination of projects for process improvements.
- Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +10 yrs; Assoc.+6yrs; M.S.+0 yrs)
- The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English

- Engineering experience in a Facilities, Utilities, Maintenance, Project, or Plant Engineering role.
- Experience in large facility and campus facility management and maintenance of building equipment and infrastructure.
- Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with colleagues at all levels of an organization, as well as contracted service partners.
- Exposure to Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) and facilitating Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
- Experience with computer maintenance management systems (CMMS) preferably IBM Maximo.
- Advanced skills in basic personal computer software including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong communication (written, oral, and interpersonal) skills.
- Ability to lead and be part of cross-functional teams.
