As a Manufacturing Production Supervisor supporting the production team, you will be responsible for leading an assembly and/or packaging team of line coordinators, production specialists, and operators to manufacture medical devices in Houston, TX.

- Providing a safe working environment that aligns with applicable standards and ensuring that associates are working safely
- Implementing and leading all aspects of programs that encourage adherence to HSE (Health, Safety, & Environmental) standards and priorities
- Continuously orchestrating work areas for good safety and housekeeping practices; identifying, resolving, and reporting safety hazards
- Operating under established policies and procedures to meet commitments with Alcon's standards (Safety, Quality, Productivity, Cost, & Conduct)
- Initiating and being responsible for the implementation of systems, policies, or procedures to ensure that products and services meet regulatory and quality standards
- Supervising processes, identifying problems, and initiating appropriate corrective actions
- Critically reviewing operations for ways to improve regulatory compliance, product quality, and/or productivity
- Tracking, evaluating, and reporting key quality performance indicators, as well as corrective and preventive actions
- Troubleshooting problems regarding product quality and equipment
- Building a positive work environment that engages associates and enables and rewards strong performance
- Ensuring fair and consistent treatment of all associates, following company policies & procedures, as well as employment law
- Developing team goals that align with the department's annual objectives and encouraging individual growth and contributions by team members
- Ensuring regular communication of company and department objectives to all team members
- Leading by example, encouraging all associates to act under what we value
- Optimizing and continuously improving the manufacturing process
- Leading HR activities such as performance appraisals, training, interviewing, counseling, and staff and resource utilization
- Developing organizational capability to identify and resolve operational issues quickly and effectively
- Providing front-line supervision, leadership, and work direction to production teams, including time and attendance, performance management, training oversight, and development
- Handling conflict and dealing efficiently with others in a diverse workforce
- Interfacing and coordinating with other departments to settle priorities and accomplish shared objectives
- Settling and communicating planning priorities and production schedules, and resolving potentially conflicting priorities
- Tracking, evaluating, controlling, and reporting on key manufacturing performance indicators
- Leading day-to-day production operations and continuously supervising results to ensure alignment with goals
- Handling multiple priorities, and efficiently holding others accountable for results
- Monitoring, analyzing, and recommending/implementing improvements to better apply labor, raw materials, and equipment
- Helping lead significant projects
- Leading and implementing continuous improvement processes within the manufacturing area using industry-known lean manufacturing
- Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +10 yrs; Assoc.+6 yrs; M.S.+0 yrs)
- The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English
- 2 Years of Relevant Experience
- 1 Years of Demonstrated Leadership
- Work Hours: - Thursday - Saturday, & every other Wednesday: (4:00 PM CST - 4:00 AM CST)
- Travel Requirements: 0 to 10%
