As a Manager, Surgical Receivables within Alcon's Accounting Department, you will be trusted to provide support and leadership to the Accounts Receivable organization at Alcon, with a focus on leading a team that's responsible for the Surgical Business Accounts Receivable, which makes-up more than $1.5B in total annual receivables for Alcon. The ideal candidate will inspire others to perform at the highest level they can, along with possessing a high level of analytical skills, strong communication skills, and a continuous improvement approach.   • Manage, lead and develop a team of 4-7 associates
  • This position will work closely with the commercial teams and US Commercial Operations to understand all commercial programs and their impact to receivables
  • Ensure team collects outstanding receivables in accordance with terms and conditions of contracts, customer payment terms, etc.
  • Manage AR risk mitigation through cash collections, account analysis, and bad debt expense reduction
  • Timely processing of EFA credit approvals, periodic review of account credit limits/overall exposure and recommending credit actions to be taken
  • Assist and lead team during negotiations with customers to improve financial controls and sets up special credit arrangements and payment schedules while strengthening the customer relationship
  • Oversee receivables and credit management decisions for the Surgical customer base
  • Assist with the management of KPIs that should be used to effectively manage the receivables department
  • Manage and assist in the development of credit policies and standards
  • Actively identify process enhancements to improve overall efficiencies with the receivables department
  • Develop a broad knowledge of the sales and operations functions, and its impact on the AR organization, so that you can lead your team effectively during problem solving and difficult customer issues
  • Responsible for managing all AR impacts to cash flow
  • Responsible for payment performance and financial liquidity of existing customers
  • Support month end close/reporting/compliance requirements for Credit & AR
  • Support and promote customer adoption of Alcon's e-commerce payment portal, MyAlconPay
WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON:
  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +13 yrs; Assoc.+9 yrs; M.S.+2 yrs; PhD+1 yr)
  • The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English
  • 5 Years of Relevant Experience
  • 3 Years of Demonstrated Leadership
