As a GPI OPERATIONS LEAD/ANALYST, supporting our GLOBAL PRODUCT IDENTIFICATION TEAM, you will be r esponsible for coordinating project related activities and assessments in support of Alcon's Medical Device & Pharma Product Identification Program. In addition, this role also manages daily operational activities related to serialization including master data maintenance, issue investigations, etc. (GPI system management - SAP ATTP). at the FORT WORTH MAIN FACILITY in FORT WORTH, TEXAS.

In this role, a typical day will include:
  • Oversee the implementation and maintenance of serialization systems (SAP ATTP/ICH) to track the movement of products.
    • System Support - Demonstrate an understanding of system and process dependencies to provide awareness of change impacts and implement required system design changes. Work with ERP/technical teams to: test and implement enhancements/new functionality, monitor data loads and workflows, troubleshoot, correct issues, and drive process improvements.
    • Day to Day Operations - maintain master data, troubleshoot (investigate/resolve/drive corrective actions) failed EPCIS messages, manage quality alerts, provide serialization batch information when requested, onboard trading partners.
  • Data Integrity/Documentation/ Reporting - Develop and enforce protocols/work instructions to maintain the integrity of data generated within serialization systems. This involves implementing appropriate controls, performing regular audits, and addressing any discrepancies or issues promptly. Generate reports as required for internal stakeholders and regulatory agencies.
  • Process Optimization - Continuously evaluate and improve serialization processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and compliance. Identify opportunities for process improvements or automation and integration with other systems to streamline operations.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration - Collaborate with internal teams such as IT, quality assurance, regulatory affairs, and operations to ensure alignment on serialization requirements, capabilities and standards. Provide guidance and support to ensure consistent implementation across departments.
  • Regulatory Compliance - Participate in industry technical forums to track evolving regulations and industry standards related to serialization, UDI and data integrity. Interpret requirements and ensure that systems and processes remain compliant with applicable regulations.
  • Training and Education - Develop training materials and conduct training sessions for employees involved in serialization processes to ensure understanding of requirements and best practices.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON:
  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +10 yrs; Assoc.+6 yrs; M.S.+0 yrs)
  • The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English
  • 2 Years of Relevant Experience
  • Work hours: Monday through Friday - 8:00am - 5:00pm
  • Travel Requirements: 0 to 10%

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Experience with Advanced data manipulation skills, including queries and formulas (Preferred: Excel; Bonus: XML, CSV)
  • Experience in data management through various digital platforms (preferred: SAP)
  • Understanding of GS1 (EPCIS) Standards as well as master data requirements for serialization
