We foster an inclusive culture and are looking for diverse, hardworking people to join Alcon! As a Mechanic II supporting our manufacturing site, you will be trusted to work with performing a variety of duties to help maintain the facility at Sinking Springs, PA.
In this role, a typical day will include:
- Performing repairs and maintenance on critical equipment such as Cleanroom-rated HVAC equipment, Oil-free Air Compressors, & Purified Water Systems
- Conducting inspections to settle if repair and maintenance work is vital to prevent breakdowns of facilities equipment
- Reading engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, equipment manuals, and specifications
- Performing a combination of routine maintenance tasks and unscheduled repairs
- Using a wide variety of hand tools, power tools, and bench-top tools to perform job duties
- Completing light fabrication work
- Monitoring of critical systems
- Presenting observations and equipment status to team members and management

- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English
- Work Hours: 2nd Shift: 3 PM EST - 11 PM EST
- 2 Years of Relevant Experience
- Sponsorship & Relocation: Not Available
- 2 Years of Facility Maintenance Experience
- Experience in a Manufacturing Environment
- Having a Mechanical and Electrical Troubleshooting Aptitude
- Experience following Good Documentation Practices (GDP)
- The ability to work independently while setting priorities and following instructions with minimal mentorship
