As a Digital Technology Manager in our Fort Worth, TX office, you will act as a strategic thought leader across multiple stakeholder groups within Commercial Operations. The key priority of this role is to accelerate Alcon's digital ambition through digital transformation initiatives in North America, specifically by leveraging technologies such as AWS & SalesForce.. The Digital Technology Manager will develop and direct all systems and technology management activities throughout the CoE including but not limited to: business requirement gathering; developing solutions for projects propsed by the business; identifying and evaluating systems and technology; assessing feasibility, viability and sustainability of initiatives that will support digital and innovation as well as creating a framework for specific initiatives.

In this role, a typical day will include:
  • Develop technology solutions for problems proposed by the business
  • Manage offshore development teams to help build out solutions for proposed business problems
  • Develop strategic prioritization of technology projects and initiatives through assessments
  • Provide technical feedback on digital initiatives as it relates to systems and technology
  • Partner with other internal technology teams to share knowledge of industry best practices for relevant tools
  • Identify relevant stakeholders and elicit business requirements/users stories as applicable
  • Lead stakeholder interviews, workshops and research to determine the estimate of cost, time and resources to deploy solutions
  • Prioritize business and functional requirements through planning sessions with business stakeholders
  • Determine, negotiate and obtain stakeholder buy-in on technical solutions
  • Establish goals and objectives in line with stakeholder's expectations
  • Identify and manage technology risks
  • Track, monitor and control program process in connection with systems and technology to meet goals and objectives
  • Communicate program status to stakeholders and produce status reports/dashboards on a periodic basis
  • Ensure expected technical documentation is created and maintained throughout the program lifecycle
  • Ensure deliverables are produced in conformance with quality requirements and industry best practices
  • Ensure team adheres to Alcon's established governance, frameworks and tools and ensure consistency with Alcon's policies, standards, processes, and guidelines
  • Effective communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Identify and Implement continuous improvement on current services by constantly capturing feedback, assessing team performance and conducting retrospective sessions
  • In conjunction with peers, recommend and help design business process changes for better product adoption
  • Develop action plans in consultation with Business and IT peers
  • Regular and close engagement with all stakeholders
  • Map technical solutions back to business needs (through visualizations, process maps, etc)
WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON:
  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +13 yrs; Assoc.+9 yrs; M.S.+2 yrs; PhD+0 yrs)
  • The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English
  • 5 Years of Relevant Experience

Preferred Qualifications :
  • Background in various coding languages such as: SQL, Python, CSS, Java, HTML, etc.
  • 2 years of Management Experience
  • Intermediate to advanced experience with AWS & SalesForce
  • Background with working in agile methodology
  • Prior experience within the Digital space
  • Strong systems/technology background (Alteryx, Tableau, SAP BI, AWS, SFDC, Cloud technologies)
  • Consulting and/or framework design background
  • Proven self-starter with ability to lead through influence
  • Experience working with ambiguity and high learning agility
  • Ability to build strong relationships and communicate with a breadth and variety of internal and external resources
  • Proven experience operating in a global environment
  • 6+ years of applicable systems/technology experience
