Role Overview:
Alameda Health System is hiring! The Manager for Centering Operations is responsible for oversight of procedures and workflows required for standardization and provision of Centering group care throughout the organization; oversees the integration of Centering Pregnancy & Parenting into the department culture and standard work of the clinic; supervises Centering Program support staff. Collaborates with Centering clinical leadership to operationally support model fidelity, training, overall program structure, operations, program growth and sustainability. This is a grant funded position with funds to cover approximately 15 months and the candidate that takes this position will be on-site and Non- Benefited.

DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: NOTE: Following are the duties performed by employees in this classification. However, employees may perform other related duties at an equivalent level. Not all duties listed are necessarily performed by each individual in the classification.
Provide operational support for all aspects of Centering programmatic needs and ongoing quality improvement.
Supervises staff and manages employee performance; provides on-going performance feedback, addresses problems, orients and trains employees, verifies competency and identifies and suggests ways to develop skills; monitors workflow. Ensures staff has training and support to provide high-quality Centering Facilitation.
Interfaces with Centering Healthcare Institute (CHI) and/or CHI Advisor to maintain model fidelity, site licensure, and to obtain other assistance or support.
In collaboration with Beloved Birth leadership, creates and maintains as needed new policies and procedures for the effective administration of Beloved’s wrap-around support services (nutrition, fitness, lactation, etc.); interfaces with Alameda County Public Health Department, Beloved Birth Collective, and community partners.
In collaboration with Centering clinical leadership, leads Centering program evolution – including strategic planning, long-term sustainability, growth & development of wrap-around support services and community partnerships.
In collaboration with Centering clinical leadership, represents Centering Program in all community facing areas (including meetings, advocacy, community events, program promotion).
Coordinates onboarding of all new staff, including co-facilitators, clinic staff, students, AHS Centering guest facilitators and AHS volunteers, to the program with Centering Medical Director & Centering CHOW.
Organizes Centering In-House Basic Facilitation Trainings and continuing education facilitation for Centering Facilitation staff.
Develops and maintains a visual presence of Centering Pregnancy & Parenting throughout the organization.
Oversees grant procurement, management, and reporting.
Oversees and is ultimately responsible for all aspects of Centering group scheduling & reconciliation.
Oversees tracking of inventory and distribution of promotional materials and other items for clinic.
Performs other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities as well as possession of any required licenses or certifications is qualifying.
Required Education: Bachelor’s Degree
Required Experience: One year experience in a maternal-child health setting; experience facilitating Centering groups; experience in centering basic facilitation training.
