Airbnb is seeking MBA students to join the Finance organization as Strategic Finance & Analytics Interns for our 2025 Summer Intern Program from May 19, 2025 - August 8, 2025.
The Finance organization at Airbnb consists of distinct groups working on a diverse array of initiatives such as long-term strategic and financial planning, capital raising, financial and tax reporting, supplier management, construction of our office spaces, and more.

Our Strategic Finance & Analytics (SFA) team provide strategic planning, budgeting, reporting, and analytical decision-making support to cross-functional (ie. Hosting) and functional (ie. Legal) teams across Airbnb. As an intern, you’ll be matched to one of the following teams:
- Technology and Infrastructure - Their main focus is to support the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and the Technology organization. They also provide support to the Chief Business Officer (CBO) and Policy organization. This includes areas such as Cloud Computing, SMS, AI, Translation, workforce management, and various CTO & CBO programs.
- Marketing - This team serves as key business partners to Product and Marketing leads to provide strategic insights and recommendations that range from sustaining the core business to launching new initiatives. The team’s focus spans the entire guest journey, from building awareness to improving in-product conversion funnel and enhancing guest retention.
- Central Strategy and Insights - This team meets bi-weekly with Airbnb’s Chief Finance Officer and Chief Business Officer to provide historical and forward-looking insights across key business metrics such as Nights Booked and Revenue. There are also opportunities to tackle projects in the competitive space, global markets, and data science.

- Analyze complex business problems and issues using data to provide insight to decision-makers
- Identify and interpret trends and patterns based on business data and market knowledge
- Construct and present forecasts, recommendations, and strategic/tactical plans to stakeholders and leaders
- Create specifications for reports and analysis based on business needs and required or available data elements
The exact project you work on during your internship will be dependent on the team you are placed in. You’ll have the opportunity to learn more about the work during the interview process.

As an intern, you’ll be integrated into a team where you’ll contribute to challenging projects. - Collaborate with multiple team members to achieve project milestones
- Communicate with stakeholders across different teams to provide project updates
- Seek and provide feedback throughout the internship
- Actively participate in and contribute to the Finance team and broader Airbnb community
Your expertise:
This opportunity is for first-year, MBA students (graduating Spring 2026) enrolled full-time at a nationally-accredited business school in the United States with the following background:
- 3-5 years of professional experience in financial planning and analysis, corporate development, management consulting, private equity, investment banking, or business operations
- Strong organizational skills and process-oriented with the ability to define and execute projects with limited guidance and unclear scope
- Experience forming strong working relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders within and outside of finance
- Ability to communicate clearly and persuasively through both written and verbal formats up to the executive level (e.g. Chief Financial Officer, VP of Finance, etc.)
- Strong quantitative skills and ability to analyze complex data to distill insights and provide business recommendations
- Experience with the following skills and tools: SQL, financial modeling, data analysis and visualization, Tableau
- Demonstrated interest in high growth, technology, and/or hospitality companies
- Work authorization for employment in the United States is required (CPT/OPT with 2-year STEM extension is accepted)
Preferred but not required:
- Ability to conduct in-depth industry research and due diligence
