The Difference You Will Make

We are looking for an experienced Product Lead (People Manager role) who’s passionate about driving innovative product solutions under ambiguity with cross-functional teams and achieving ambitious business growth targets. In this role, you’ll lead a team of Product Managers to set the vision, strategy, and roadmap, and execute on the plans that are developed with the Regional Directors and other stakeholders. Collaborating closely with engineers, designers, data scientists, and operations teams, your work will help make Airbnb a trusted platform that makes everyone feel anywhere in the world. Your expertise will be essential in shaping products that provide travelers with unforgettable, authentic experiences. A Typical Day

  • Define and drive Pilot product’s strategy and roadmap aligning with company-wide goals and advancing global markets’ growth.
  • Partner closely with cross-functional teams like Global Markets, Product Marketing, Design, Engineering, Data Scientists, Finance, etc to ensure seamless product delivery and success. 
  • Manage and mentor a team of Product Managers, fostering a culture of ownership, creativity, and continuous learning.
  • Champion local user needs and market trends through customer insights, competitive analysis, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. 
  • Develop compelling and clear product narratives and requirement document
  • Articulate product strategy, proposals, and status to senior leaders and key stakeholders. 
  • Build alignment across product teams and cross-functional partners (Design, Engineering, Global Markets, Marketing, Finance, Legal, etc). 
  • Define success metrics and track product performance to inform future iterations and investments.

 

Your Expertise

  • 12+ years of experience in product management, with a successful track record of delivering scalable products and team management. 
  • Excellent strategic thinking abilities, with demonstrated experience in product strategy, roadmap planning, and stakeholder management
  • Thrive in a startup culture: dealing with ambiguity, fast pace, changing needs, and limited resources
  • Ability to manage and grow a PM team
  • Ability to lead by influence across a diverse team of business experts, designers, engineers, data scientists, finance, legal, etc.
  • Ability to build inspiring narratives, prioritize features, evaluate short-term vs. long-term trade-offs, etc.
  • Ability to clearly articulate the story for what problem you’re solving for and the vision you’re going after, combined with the capacity to dive into minute details when necessary
  • Career experience in the travel industry/eCommerce, building products for international markets, or working for start-ups is highly desirable.
  • Fluent English and Mandarin in oral and written communication.
